Velocity members will receive 10% bonus Velocity Points when they transfer up to 30,000 Awards points and 15% bonus Velocity Points when they transfer 30,001 or more Awards points into Velocity Points in one transaction between 12:01am AEST 31 August 2023 and 11:59pm AEST 29 September 2023 (“Promotion Period”). Bonus Velocity Points are calculated on the total number of base Velocity Points transferred to the Velocity account in accordance with the offer. Bonus Points will be rounded to the nearest whole Point. Membership of Velocity is the cardholder's responsibility and is subject to the Velocity membership Terms and Conditions as amended from time to time, available at Velocity website. The redemption of CommBank Awards points is administered solely by CommBank Awards and may take up to 5 business days to transfer into the Velocity membership account. When converting CommBank Awards points to Velocity Points, members must convert in increments of 2 Awards points in order to convert to whole Velocity Points. Points can only be transferred to a Velocity account in the same name as the primary cardholder of the CommBank Awards account. Once CommBank Awards points have been redeemed for Velocity Points, they are governed by the Velocity membership Terms and Conditions and cannot be reversed.

    Thanks for the heads up, it’s slightly better off with this 15% bonus from CBA to VA then to SQ rather than from CBA to Kris flyer directly.

      Oh is it? Thanks for doing the leg work. Wasn't sure whether to transfer to velocity or wait in case i need to use krisflyer but in that case i'll dump it all in velocity! Hate that krisflyer points expire :(

    Never really looked into virgin points offering. Is it better than qantas offers?

    Do they ever offer up exchange for cba awards to qantas?

    Transferred and the points hit velocity straight away but no bonus points. Hopefully they appear afterwards but other times I've done this they arrive together with the base points….

        Argh hopefully they come through. I wonder if we follow up with commbank rewards or velocity? I'll give it a few days and then look into contacting both i guess.

          Yeah I'm going to wait the 5 business days before reaching out I think. I would probably reach out to the CBA rewards team since the bonus points was shown on their end (couldn't see anything on the velocity website for the bonus transfer points). Hoping it will go through as I have more points I want to transfer but not going to until my first lot receives the bonus points!

            @HaruBestie: Yeh i know the virgin money area was having some issues over the weekend so maybe there is some IT error and the backlog will come through during the week. Fingers crossed!

            @HaruBestie: I contacted commbank rewards yesterday and they told me i need to wait 5 business days, but today is the 5th business day and still nothing. Will get back in touch with them next week and see what the new excuse will be :)

    When I enter my CommBank points it's only showing the 2 to 1 conversion with no bonus. Has anyone got the bonus 15%?

      I haven't received the bonus yet. I waited for the 5th business day (Friday) and then contacted the CBA rewards team. I got a response this morning saying that this has been raised with Velocity Frequent Flyer to investigate.

        Got a reply back for the email i sent to velocity almost a week ago, saying the promo with CBA was in May 2023 and i transferred in Sept so i'm not eligible. I assume someone at CBA has entirely forgotten to lodge the promo with velocity. I have responded with a screenshot of the promo showing the 29 August - Sept 2023 dates so will see what happens.

                  @meowmeowmeow: I literally only sent a message through the CommBank Awards page explaining that I had redeem my award points for Velocity points with the promotion and it had been over 5 business days and was wondering how long it takes for the bonus points to be credited to my account.
                  The next business day I got an email back from the CommBank Awards team with this exact message: "Thanks for your email. This has been raised with Velocity Frequent Flyer to investigate."
                  I didn't do anything else. Got bonus points credited 2 days later and shown in my account in another 2 days.
