Woolworths Online Sort by Unit Price Not All as It Seems

Hey,

Be careful using sort by unit price on Woolworths. I wanted a jar of sliced pickled Jalapenos so searched Jalapenos and sorted by unit price low to high.

Ignoring the products which are not the Jalapenos I seek (First result is Jalapenos & Chilli, not what I am after) the products come up in this order:

$2.29 / 100G
$2.40 / 100G
$4.41 / 1KG
$8.51 / 1KG

Clearly they are just ordering them by low to high ignoring the fact that 100G and 1KG are totally different things.

  • Not cool Woolworths.

Chill man.. looks like someone just input the wrong units for those products.

Apologies if I came across as not Chill, Jalapenos will do that to you.

      • Isn't that the morning after? 😂

    Seems technically correct.
They just don't break it down like shelf pricing.

      Seems technically correct.

      definitely not technically correct.

      • Different units seem to be listed in ascending order.

'technically' they should be standardising the unit used for sorting.

eg. Sort all by gram but display the unit any way they like…

    Spicy

  • Yeah, I see errors quite often, but it generally works okay. Something to be aware of for sure.

  • The unit pricing, sorting function has been broken on the Woolworths app for months. It doesn’t display the results correctly, when you attempt to sort L-H or H-L.

    • Make that years. However, it's not that difficult in a metric-based country. Just divide by 10.

look….like everyone woolies are doing it hard in this post covid economy…..

updating and keeping their website working is a lot lower in their priorities than providing australians with their fresh food & groceries at the best possible prices.
also the myriad of invasive security measures that have been rolled out to combat theft and to capture more and more consumer data havent just implemented themselves, you know!

so maybe… take a second and get off your high horse karen and show some bloody gratitude for australia's largest grocery retailer mate, instead of whinging like a typical entitled customer who expects consistency honesty & integrity from their retailer!

    • …whats with the negs? …am i wrong???? lol

It's pretty snakey and deceptive what they are doing.

This little mistake basically costing the customer $$.

I would put money on that it is deliberate rather than some little accident.

Big business usually don't make mistakes when it comes to money. Unless of course the mistake screws the customer.
