    In my opinion, I highly advise pre-ordering this console as a new model will most likely released soon

    Wouldn't this be the case not to pre-order an older model if a new one is right about to be released?

            The special edition 3DS' coming out towards the end of its life were pretty sweet. Zelda themed, Super Nintendo themed. I mean, people are trying to flog SNES themed ones for over $1500 now. (Trying to).

            But this….. meh.

    Every year there are rumors of a new model… It might well be this year! Fingers crossed it's not just a minor upgrade like the OLED model.

      Recent rumours suggest that the new model was shown/discussed at a closed door meeting to selected press/dev at Gamescom.

      The Switch is showing its age, so it's about time we get a new model…

          Not really comparable (at the time of release) as the Switch is handheld first, home console second.

    I'll keep using my almost 20yo nintendo wii.
    i'm sad i discarded my NES in the 90s :(

    I'd guess it's only going to be announced in April next year when they have to announce their forecast for their next fiscal year
