Auspost "Onboard for Delivery" Gone Missing

Auspost tracking has had "It's coming today Onboard for delivery" from Welshpool, for more than a week now.

And "If this hasn’t arrived by Thursday 14 September, we’ll investigate.". So much for Amazon's fast delivery.
Do I assume it is lost and re-order? Phone Amazon to complain?
Of course the same items are now double the price. Any advice?

Contact Amazon Support to follow-up on status. They have the authority to send you another unit and/or refund immediately.

Lodge a complaint through Auspost on top of the Amazon follow-up.
I swear there's some serious sticky finger stuff going on with drivers. Or sheer incompetence. Hard to tell which…

  • Welcome to the new normal. I had this last week and it turned up eventually. Wait till the 14th and then start proceedings.

Ever since Morrison and his bankster mates got Christine Holgate fired AP service has been going down the s-bend.

    Don't blame Amazon, it's AusPost.

More than a week? Should've contacted AusPost sooner.

Call AusPost and see how you go, otherwise if that results in nothing, speak with Amazon about it.

What do you see in Auspost tracking? When you track, choose detailed tracking.

  • in my experience, the facility at Welshpool WA takes at least a few days to process stuff :/ Go to your local post office and enquire there, see if they can tell you anything.

  • Product review sites and OzB should dedicate an entire sub forum to Australia Post
[You could almost throw ebay in there as well.] Local POs are mostly OK, beyond that APost needs to face a Royal Commission to drain the swamp

  • lodge a missing item report with Aus Post and they will investigate.

    • and they will investigate.

      I wouldn't count on it…

The bloke will take your form, look over his shoulder and tell you hes investigated and it aint there, thanks for using AusPost.

Despite what a bunch of posters above claim, AustPost absolutely won't investigate before Thursday 15 September. If you lodge a missing item report before that time the response you get, after a few days, will be that they can't do anything and that you need to request an investigation again if the item hasn't arrived by the 14th.

  • Royal Commission required into this 1st world trainwreck service.
    . Email the Minister.
APost will just waste your time.
Same with Postal 'look over there' Ombudsman

Latest ripoff scam is a pkg for std parcel post takes 2 weeks delivery and $14-15. This is a pkg that would fit in half a teacup or less and weigh less than 2xAAA batteries

  • I have the opposite problem with AusPost.

I usually get the "its coming today" message an hour or so after AFTER the postie has delivered it. Which rather defeats its purpose.

    • You have effectively won lotto, so rare is that outcome

  • Auspost response:

According to your tracking, I can see that the item has been transferred and is being held at the XXX Local Post Office.
Please continue to monitor tracking closely for updates to collect your Parcel.
If you have any further questions please do not hesitate to contact us.

Yeah … sounds like it is just sitting there, and no updates are coming. Why can she see "your tracking", but the MyPost website tracking has nothing?

    • whats the tracking number? are you looking at the Journey and not the Overview tab?

      • Yes, see this for Jouney::

        Onboard for delivery,at WELSHPOOL WA,on Mon 28 Aug, 9.17am
Current milestone: It's on its way
Customer enquiry lodged Mon 4 Sep, 2.22pm

For other recent deliveries, I had a 2-hour delivery window given. Not this time. Have they abandoned that, or the parcel did not get far enough? Another package is due today, and no window given.

I love how incompetent orgs support, fails to provide a real answer and yet always end with 'if you have any further questions don't hesitate to contact us, again' FFS. What sloth

Found it lurking in a corner of the local post-office, unscanned.

Also, a new package had arrived at the PO, no attempt to deliver, no notification to collect, dumped.
Across the road at the park, a couple of delivery guys were chillin' near their van.

      • Drop a scathing review . They are scum.
