Best Apps to Sideload on Firestick 4K Max?

Recently picked one up from the Prime deal last week (or was it two weeks ago?). So far I have got Stremio with Real Debrid going, so as far as Movies and TV streaming goes, I am sorted. Looking for other various apps that would make things easier or more smoother.

Smart youtube for ad-free youtube is a must after stremio with RD.

    • I will look into this after my YT Premium runs out. Still got it going from the Feb deal.

      • Premium doesn't block sponsored adds, where as Smart Tube Next does. You can also set it to skip, filler content and\or Intro's. I had premium and basically just cancelled the renewal and let premium go to waste.

  • @Mully04 I sideloaded a couple of apps but they keep buffering.. I don't have internet speed issue otherwise. What could be wrong?

    • If you're using free sources you may suffer from buffering issues due to how many people are downloading at the same time? Were you using a debrid site?

      • I was trying some movies sites without debrid..

        • I've found that almost always the free sources suck, I use alldebrid and I've been happy with it. It doesn't have all the latest movies straight away but it has a good source for a lot. I've heard realdebrid is better, I might give it a go when my subscription expires.

  • Kodi and plugins, it's a good video player itself, and you can add IPTV steaming (m3u) across the glob, plenty of other use too, if you spend time set it up, you probably won't even need any other app at all lol.

    • plenty of other use too

      such as?

      • there are hundreds of thousands of plugins, have a browse thru.

        • I haven't found anything useful other than the Simple IPTV client.

I'm sick of Kodi apps failing on me, every 3 months I feel as if you need to change app because it's getting to slow. Started with the Crew, then Asgard, then Seren… At the moment I'm using Cinema HD, it has by far been the most reliable and quickest.

I tried using an IPTV trial once, but it was way overpriced and got stuck buffering so much! Turned me off them.

I haven't yet experienced what you experienced (about getting slow after a while) maybe try clearing the cache?

I prefer to download things on my NAS, then play it on the TV via SMB over network, Kodi happens to be a very reliable players and able to handle all formats.

as of IPTV, you can download a Kodi plugin, and search across github for free and Decrypted source.

That's annoying if there was some great out-of-the-box app that would work as good without any long installation processes.

Don't you have buffering issue here? How do you manage it?

        • I haven't had buffering issues once with Cinema HD, I do have gigabit internet though. In saying that, I still have buffering issues with certain Kody apps mentioned prior!

    • Could you provide more information on what IPTV streaming involves? Or an example of it?

  • TVIMate is absolutely excellent for Free To Air TV
Long time plex\overseer user, but currently enjoying Stremio.
Less is more with the 4K Maxx, doesn't have a lot of storage but a great device.
