Where to buy cheap basketball shoes in Sydney for 12 yr old (Not a serious BB'er/only needs to last a year)

Should we just pop over to the outlets?

Where else can we buy a decent pair that his mates won't laugh at but still reasonable in price? (Around 100)

What size shoe? Are they still in Juniors/Grade School or in adults?

If you can narrow down a brand and style preference, itll allow you to narrow the search.

    Nike low dunks - https://www.footlocker.com.au/en/category/collection/nike/du…

    Adidas - https://www.adidas.com.au/basketball-shoes

See if they'd be happy with something like Nike Court Vision or Court Legacy shoes RRP is $110 and they regularly drop sub $100 (have seen as low as $60-70)

I wouldn't recommend playing in dunks, court vison or court legacy.

Nike Team Hustle are great budget playing shoes for kids.
Under Armour Lockdowns are also great and cheap.

On sale at rebel, can often find decent (sub $100) prices for Nike :Precision, Giannis, Air Max Impact, Kyrie, One Take (in no order) or Adidas: Harden, D Rose, Bounce Legends (in that order)

I play twice a week (in Harden Step Back 2 and Air Max Impact 4) and coach 3 junior teams.

    decathlon, kmart, bigw, target.

if she plays with mean kids and you care, you need to get some name brand stuff. go to outlets, facebook market place, gumtree, eBay, amazon, catch, etc….

Honestly, it's worth a drive to Canberra Nike Outlet. They're always 40% off and seem to have signature shoes that aren't available in the Sydney stores.

My nephew got a pair of Giannis and Kyrie shoes for $60 each.

Not if you live in Perth.

      • second that. If you are able to, make a road trip to the Nike outlet in Canberra. It has better range and prices than the Sydney one. I have big feet, more like flippers actually, (no it's not true what they say) and the last pair of size 14 Jordans I got from Canberra only cost $50

Foot Locker have a few shoes on sale at the moment:

    https://www.footlocker.com.au/en/category/sale/mens/shoes.ht…

$100 can get you a decent pair of discounted performance shoes:
Jordan Zion 2, Adidas Harden 7, Nike Cosmic Unity 2, Jordan Luka 1 are decent picks under $100.
Avoid the Puma TRC Blaze Court as they have an issue where parts of the outsole breaks easily.

Good basketball shoes prevent injuries, don't go buying garbage from Kmart.

    Thanks for your ideas.

In the end, we went for a pair of Nike Jordan Max Aura 4's.

Cheapest online was JD Sports for $110+delivery.

Went out to Nike Factory Outlet at DFO Homebush as we were in the area and found them there for $100. Got to the checkout and registered as a member and got 10% off, so one happy little man and one happy OzBargainer.

    Happy weekend everyone!
