    Good reminder for everyone to:

    1) Enable 2FA on all accounts that allow it
    2) Check your email address https://haveibeenpwned.com/
    3) Change your passwords, and don't repeat them
    4) Use a password manager

    Story time

Friend of mine got her facebook account hacked recently and they changed her email and all the details several times until the account got locked and banned by facebook

No recourse. no recovery possibilities. Gone. She didn't have 2FA.

  • Big update:

We want to provide our valued customers with an important update regarding the Dymocks data incident we wrote to you about last Friday (Data Incident).

While our investigation is ongoing, it has now been confirmed that 1.24 million customer contact records were stolen and made available on the dark web. The information in the contact records is limited to contact information such as name, address, phone, email, membership details and date of birth. We confirm that none of the information published consists of passwords, identification such as driver’s licenses or any other highly sensitive information such as transaction information, payment information or credit card details.

  • Bit late now but I contacted support and they gave me the link to request deletion of your account: https://www.dymocks.com.au/data-deletion-request
