Domino’s to Launch ‘Skip The Queue’ from September 11 (to Replace 20/15 Minute Guarantee)

Hi all,

Quick PSA regarding an upcoming change to orders placed via online ordering.

Starting the 11th of September 2023, Domino’s will be launching a new feature called ‘Skip the Queue’. This will be priced as a $4 extra to add to your order and will mean your order will be made first before other orders (for example, if an order at the store was placed 20 mins ago and you order with ‘Skip the Queue’, your order will be made prior the 20 minute old one being made). This will be available for both Pick Up and Delivery orders.

Impact on 20/15 Minute Guarantee

Skip the Queue will replace 15/20 minute guarantee for delivery orders however, one notable change is that unlike 15/20 minute guarantee, Skip the Queue will not provide any compensation or free pizza voucher should you believe your order took too long (unless your complaint is related to the 100% satisfaction guarantee of course).

Unrelated Notable Changes

  • 62 HOUR MEGA WEEKEND. Starts today and ends Sunday.
  • Domino’s to bring back 10 pack of wings and 12 pack of churros.

So, someone pays $4 extra to "Skip the Queue", but they don't necessarily get to skip the queue? What's the point?

    • Yes, someone may be already the 1st to serve in the queue.

Free $4 when there is no queue.

    • Exactly my thinking…

Or when everyone in the queue pay the extra $4, all free money go to the business but no one can skip the queue, unless there is a "super skip" extra $8.

lol….dominos offering a 'premium' service has to be taking the piss?

Since Dominos price jacked everything, my local no longer has a queue.

    • Yes, a ploy designed to squeeze more from loyal customers.

    Never forget

Dunno which MBA thought of this one, but it's a terrible idea. Usually food is a 'cheap, fast, good - pick two' option, Dominos you can now pick from either cheap or fast.

Or really cheaper, because it's not that cheap anymore.

Only worth it if you can gauge the time saving. Can you tell if there is a 60 min wait prior to ordering?

    • Have you ever waited 60 minutes for pickup? The most i've waited was on state of origin and that was 25 minutes. This service fee is a joke and another cash grab for little to no benefit.

  • next there's will be a fee for must staff to wear gloves or PPE while handling food guarantee
