Not sure if they’re in this deal but I recently fitted 4x 245/40ZR19 98Y XL Ventus S1 evo3 K127 to my Subaru Liberty. Previously I’d almost exclusively had Goodyear Eagle F-1 Asymmetrics on all my cars.

Pleasantly surprised at the Hankooks - performance out of the box is quite good and to my perception from around town and spirited mountain driving, really not that far away from Goodyears for around 60pc of the price.

    • I went the other way, S1 evo3 runflats to AS5 regular. Still surprised by the Hankooks considering the rolling resistance difference.

  • Anyone comment on these for a forester or similar.
Tyres confuse the heck out of me, such a large price range.

    • don't think it's particularly better or worse for a forester than any other vehicle, but these have been reviewed to be among the top tyres.

  • Are these better of the Bridgestone Ectopias?

    • Keen to know too. Need to replace mine soon and not sure if I should be holding off for Black Friday at this point, so might need to settle on one of the current deals.

      • Ended up ordering the Hankook Ventus Prime 4 for my Ford Fiesta. Looking at reviews they rated very well generally, particularly for the price. The biggest complaint is that while wet driving is good, they’re only OK/average when dealing with aqua plaining. Other complaint that seems to be inconsistent is some report they are reasonably loud, however some claimed they weren’t. Nothing to say they were so loud someone ditched them, which is feedback some other tyres do get.

The Prime 4 are relatively new so impressions are based on shorter periods of use.

Couldn’t find a straight up comparison with the Ectopia EP300 but the general impression was in general the Hankook reviewed a bit better. They were also cheaper for my car.

Decided not to bother waiting for Black Friday. Last year had good deals on Pirelli but I can find barely any Pirelli for my cars size other than a single eco model that at a glance gets panned pretty hard for being too low end.

It’s in the terms but note you still have to pay the fitting fee for the 4th tyre, which was $20 or $25.

        • How much did you cost you all up?

  • So obviously I need to do some research on the Hankook Ventus Prime range, Prime 2 vs Prime 3 vs Prime 4….I've always been a fan of the Ecopia EP300s or the Dunlop SP Sport FM800 because they are always on sale (4 for 3) ,havent ever considered Hankook… Maybe others are in the same position so I'd be keen for some feedback, because I'm due for some tyres very soon.

S1 evo3, I wouldn't bother with anything else, from this range, unless you absolutely need all-season tyres.

      • Is the Hankook Ventus S1 evo3 SUV K127A a better deal at $1000 than Bridgestone Ecopia H/L 001 at $936 for 4 tyres?

    RS-4s included :)

  • Is this a Jax only promotion? Not at Bob Jane or others etc that would also sell Hankook?

  • Thanks OP just ordered the Hankook Ventus S1 evo3 SUV K127A. Total noob but reviews and comments on OzB seemed promising. Hopefully it's the better deal at $1000 than Bridgestone Ecopia H/L 001 at $936 for 4 tyres.

  • Please recommend - bridgestone ecopia for $690 or Hankook Ventus Prime 3 for $600? The car already has very old ecopias so I have nothing else to compare against.
