If you have a Woolworths near you and you do not mind Everyday Rewards points instead of an upfront discount, starting on Wednesday, you can purchase Ultimate Home gift cards and earn 20 Everyday Rewards for every $1 you spend. That deals means you will have 10% of the gift card's face value returned to you in the form of Everyday Rewards points,1 plus the Ultimate Home gift card features IKEA as a participating retailer.
The variable load denomination (which can be loaded with between $50 and $500) is included, so that would be the easiest way to amass gift cards to spend at IKEA on a kitchen. However, keep in mind a few things:
If you are planning to pick up a few variable load gift cards through this deal, stock may be hard to come by, as you will likely be competing with other people wanting Ultimate Home gift cards to spend at IKEA, JB Hi-Fi, The Good Guys or Officeworks (or even Mitre 10 and Total Tools).
You can only purchase a maximum of two variable load Ultimate Home gift cards per day per Everyday Rewards account through this deal, and the two gift cards must be purchased in the same transaction. You may have a staff member tell you that they need to split the two gift cards into two separate purchases; if a staff member suggests you do this, tell them that you will miss out on Everyday Rewards points on the second gift card.
The Ultimate Home gift card webpage says you can go to the Ultimate gift card website and exchange your Ultimate Home gift card for a digital IKEA gift card. This is handy if you want to make a purchase on the IKEA website, or are happy to scan IKEA gift card barcodes in a store (and scanning barcodes would be a little faster than splitting payments across multiple physical Ultimate Home gift cards).
I do not think there are any redemption limits for Ultimate Home gift cards instore, nor IKEA gift cards instore or online.
There is not really any other alternatives worth mentioning at the moment, because the 5% discount you are seeing on Bupa's gift card portal is good for an everyday discount for IKEA gift cards (at least when compared to other gift card portals listed on the OzBargain wiki as stocking IKEA gift cards). Additionally, there are no other IKEA gift card deals nor Ultimate gift card deals at retailers I know of that are currently on or are upcoming.
The 10% valuation assumes you opt to have your Everyday Rewards redemption option set to Money Off Shopping or Bank For Christmas. If you instead have it set to Qantas points, I will leave it to you to figure the value of the Everyday Rewards points you earn, because the value of a Qantas point will vary depending on how you redeem it, as well as how you choose to measure its value… ↩
