Any New Trade in Offers in Preparation for New iPhone Launch Tomorrow?

Hi All, Just wondering if there are any good trade in offers in preparation for new iphone launch tomorrow?
For my previous iphone i availed the 20x points offer from Woolies and got the 10% discount. Is this still the best option available?

PS: This is not to discuss if Samsung or Apple are better or good value for money, I own products in both ecosystems and I like both for separate reasons.

Definitely not flexing, just don't want the conversation to get derailed ..

If you're ok with buying from JB Hi fi / officeworks I think you can use this : https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/799093

  • There is a new iPhone launch? This is the first I am hearing about it. Does anyone still get excited about these things?

    • Not too excited but I want to upgrade from my iphone 12 mini (from Amaysim offer).

No one really. $2.8 Trillion Apple value seems fake.

Not to mention they are the world's biggest company by market capitalization.

      • isnt it saudi aramco, the biggest company.

        Edit: Yes, apple it is

  • Just was about to forum up this same topic.
So far, there's pretty minimal offers for JB port over, i think only $400 on 2yr contract which is pretty meh considering the larger offerings in previous years.
I'm moving from 12 Pro Max to likely 15 Ultra or Pro Max whatever they decide to name it etc.
Generally only seeing about 10% voucher's compared to few years back around 15-20%.

I'm hopeful there's some offers tomorrow to drive some business etc. I'm not keen on a 2yr contract and 10% would be minimum goal in vouchers etc.

    • I’ll be honest with you, I think 10% is about the best you’ll get. And it’ll be like… 10% off but in FlyBuys/EDR “funny money”. If the 14 Pro/Pro Max was anything to go by, only Apple will have it in stock for months.

  • I honour of release day, let’s bring back this goody

  • Its a usb c connector or no deal

  • I locked in a price with mobile monster (https://mobilemonster.com.au/). Not 100% sure I’ll use them or not, but I have 14 days to get the phone to them so stacks of time to wait to see what gets offered prior to Friday preorders. If nothing comes up I can ship it Saturday.

The sell price seemed reasonable enough for my 12 Pro Max 256GB at what will likely be $730 assuming they don’t deem it as brand new condition ($780 for that). Might get more elsewhere, but not sure I can be bothered stuffing about with people on a market place. For a 3 year old phone I think it’s an ok price.

Going to keep and eye on Telstra, JB and Apple for trade ins too. On the last one, as of today Apple offer $725 for my phone and I’d probably just use them over Mobilemonster if they don’t drop the rate by Friday, as it cuts out the need to ship my phone away at all and I can do it in person.

    • yeah i just put details in to the apple trade in and was 695-725, figured if i can work out some 10% off gift card setup that'll be easiest way to go about things and likely quickest way to get it at launch without hassles..

      • As of this morning Apples trade in hadn’t changed for my phone, so chances are I’ll use them.

Also need to find some discounted gift cards now

        • let me know what you find 10% or higher :)

          • @xdivino: Haven’t found any. I settled on redeemyourgiftcard.com.au which you can get via a free Australian Retirement Fund account. They have 5% with direct debit or payID, but I’ve opted to pay with credit which dropped it to 4%. However I got my $1820 gift card instantly using credit card and have applied it to my Apple account ok. Didn’t want to risk delays with the other methods.

4% isn’t a lot, but it’s something. The remainder of the money will be my trade in of my 12 Pro Max via Apple.
