Mitsubishi Fridge MR-WX700C

We saw this fridge browsing hn, found the layout interesting. Especially I think the drawers are very useful. We're not really into the ice Maker and things like that. We have an extra freezer, so this layout seems good, Small freezer compartment, with the larger vege drawer at the bottom.

The price is pretty shocking, though. We haven't bought a fridge in about 12 years though.

Are there any close alternatives or from what we've seen it's only this and the even more expensive you Hitachi. Don't care too much about the vacuum so just wondering if there's anything else, or if these go on sale black Friday, or any other options.

    I'm not really sure what your question is other than you liked a fridge but it costs too much.

    So keep look for something in your price range.

      I said it's pricey I didn't say it costs too much. Presumably much of the cost is due to shipping from Japan.

      I'm asking about its price to features comparison vs other things on the market.

    We have bought this exact fridge for our home and harvey norman gave 3.9K during June. I also told them that if this gets lower I can get it price matched but since then it didn't come less than 4K so far. You can try your luck during Black Friday sales.

    It's expensive because it's made in Japan and not Thailand or China. An alternative to Mitsubishi is Panasonic but again expensive.

    When people claim they'd love to pay for quality or to stop supporting certain countries for whatever reason….well here you go.

      I've not seen a Panasonic with a French top and multiple drawers bottom. I wonder if it's only a design in Japan for a reason because it doesn't seem to be a new model.

      The Aussie brands seem to be focused on multiple levels of drinks on the fridge door and internet capabilities.

        Its not just designed in japan, its also made in japan which might be the reason for the price.
