Wyze V3 Non Pan and V3 Cam Cameras

I have a v3 cam with a window mount I watched a video where guy said to put off the night vision light to off and status led light off.
As it will reflect it a little on the window.

I looked up the settings and I find night vision which I believe is one of them and there is night ir light and a camera status light?

Is the status led light probably the camera status light which I find on settling, this cam is more for day time for post left at door. There is a lampost in the distance which will show a bit of light to see in dark.
But this advice was more to stop reflection on the window.

As I’m new to these cams and are set up with free 30 days trail of cam plus I wanted to be updated of notification and it best to have this. It’s free anyway and will be good to try it out while away. After that I can probably just stick to using sd card.

I will be away for 4 weeks I have detection zone set at 50%
Motion tagging and sound at 50%
I assume that will be good.

What are the way points or i maybe getting mixed up detection zones I set cameras to stop at certain places every 10 sec.
I take this feature does not do this all the time as can’t be good having cam move around so often, yes nice idea to set points but not if it moves all the time. Or does this only do that if something is happening?

Motion tagging is obviously when it tags a person or item

I assume my free can plus is ready to go as it’s asking me to add the cameras i not completed this yet as have one cam to set up yet.
But I’m sure it does not say I’m a cam plus payer.

The likes of record motion events this will only record motion if or when it happens? If I’m with cam plus they where to I see it from?

I take it’s not needed to record sound effect?

And smoke alarm and co alarm sound will this scream it’s head off as I’m away for 4 weeks don’t want to have some alarm make noise.

Think that’s all I need to know.

    Is that all? 🤔

Have you watched any of the in depth reviews on these cameras?

You didn't even read the first line:

The Wyze Cam’s sound detection algorithm is programmed to detect the pattern of standard smoke and carbon monoxide alarm signals.

I wish it would detect the sound of my doorbell. I guess they would sell fewer doorbell cams if they could.

I know. I assume this the feature the OP is referring to though. Their whole post is almost unintelligible (at least to me).

  • What I don’t get about these cams is the motion detection if someone walks in front of came one showing through window at front door or two placed in house.
How does it know when to start recording?
I mean if we leave them on while walking around the house why is it not alerting me?
As that’s just the same as if it was something that got into your house and you wanted alerted.
I have a sd card inside them all and I have cam plus but I don’t get how this motion detection works and how the alerts work. Even to try it out myself to see if it captures me.

  • Regarding the cam plus do you still get notifications if you don’t have it?
I canceled my cam plus as got it for free for first month and used it while overseas for a month after I forgot to cancel but have now.
I used it for 3 cams i could set up again for one in particular but maybe not worth it
