Best Sim Options - Travel to Netherlands / Europe

Travelling in a week to the Netherlands and may explore some surrounding areas. Stop off in Dubai on the way through.

Looking for the best (and cheapest) sim options for data while overseas. Both using late model Samsung phones.

Previously we have brought travel sims overseas and had them both not work (~ 5 years ago) and had roaming as our backup option. But ended up buying a local sim from the airport on arrival and that got us through for a reasonable price. This was in Asia, and we have never travelled to Europe.

What options would people recommend? For piece of mind I would prefer to have a solution in place before we go. But open to procuring on arrival as long as it would be available from the airport.

    Physical sim that comes with a UK mobile phone number that can be handy.

    Be really careful with who you go with.
    Nothing to do with money, it's under $50, or maybe $100.
    Compared to the cost of travel, this is really immaterial in the whole scope of things.
    We had been stung with a company which I am not sure I can name them. Would I be sued for defamation? And to be honest, I do feel for "small" family business sometimes.

    All our friends never bothered with Sim card; they just live on Wifi.
    But because we still have our (tiny) business, we need to be contactable via SMS and all that.
    Well, at the time we really needed them in rural Europe, we were told our Call Package was not available or something, altho we've never used it.

    Anyway, we love Europe, and will be back soon!

    Travel to Europe a fair bit, tried most of the deals via retailers on OzB, prepaidsims had the best value for money Vs local roaming coverage/stability IMHO. Used them multiple times…
