Australia Post Throwing Parcels

Hi OzB Community,

I was wondering if anyone has been experiencing Australia Post throwing their parcels delieviries?

If so, have you tried to complain to Austpost? I was wondering if there was an effective way to complain?

I have been complaining everyday and sending them footage of my parcels being thrown from the bottom of my stairs to my porch. I feel as if my emails are useless, generic responses and obviously not stopping it.

If you have any suggestions of how to complain, please let me know.

Thanks!

Complaining to Auspost is like complaining to wife.

    You are still wrong.

If it's any consolation, it's already been thrown a dozen times before it's onboard for delivery

    • Not sure about that but i had one parcel arrived damaged. I've never had this issue before.

leave a few Cartier gift cards on your porch and see if that works?

My Cartier watch brings all the auspost execs to the yard

    • hahah too funny!

i think they are going to experience much worse treatment during transit …

  • What are you getting delivered that can't handle a few knocks?

    Youtube, TikTok ???

Yes, been that way for decades /thread

    • Not always the best metric to decide that nothing needs to change…

      • Wasn't the question though….

Put some goal posts and a scoreboard up

Erect a sign at the bottom of the stairs, which says 'Please don't throw my parcels - Thank you'

Bonus points if you put a camera facing that sign, and record every driver that disobeys that sign and still throws your parcels. Add that footage to a 'Compilation' and upload it on YouTube, gain 1000+ subscribers so you can monetize your video(s) and presto you receive $$$$$ and if it goes viral then hopefully Australia Post will actually stop their drivers from throwing parcels.

  • That's unheard of

  • Early release prisoners have anger management issues? Throwing might be the least dangerous behaviour.
Direct email to the federal Min for Communications with every microscopic detail. If you want to get a result cc the fed shadow federal Min for Communications .
If you want temporary cultural change BCC abc Investigations.
If you want permanent cultural change ask for demand a royal commission into their feral behaviour
Don't waste your time or energy complaining inhouse APost or to the flaccid postal ombudsenabler

"Kobe!" - auspost delivery driver probably

    • +1

or "Simmons" - if the parcels are at the bottom of OP stairs

  • +2

Is it an AP employee, or a contractor? Contractors are usually driving hired vehicles and desperate to make as many deliveries as possible, hence they really don't care about your package. They'll throw it if they feel like it.

    • +2

That's irrelevant. APost are responsible for the transit of mail from going via their system. No matter which feral Neanderthal they use to do it.

I have noticed parcels are arriving quicker lately.

Footy season. They are kicking them 50m at a time, instead of the usual flaccid underarm tossing

  • How many stairs

    • 5-6 at most

      • If it’s chest height I’m ok with it lol
They’re trained professionals, they can tell when a parcel isn’t breakable. Besides if it was, it would say FRAGILE
        Anything else is fair game
