I have one of these. One of the plastic cogs/gears broke pretty early on. I ended up researching the size and teeth count of the gear and ordered a metal replacement. It's been pretty reliable since then, but the camera quality if pretty terrible, and the microphone is pretty crap, and the app is a bit terrible too.
    3/5 star!

    • Good review. Doesn't instill enough confidence to pull the trigger.

      • Yep, it's a shame as the product could be amazing with not much more work. Just sucks I had to hack the product to fix its primary flaw.
That said, I do constantly check in on my doggo and throw him treats!

    • Mine is almost brand new and has stopped moving the hopper when I use small throws, mind telling the symptoms of your broken cog?

Exactly that! The rotating hopper sort of moves and zips forward and back in a frantic way before giving up. Sometimes it would just appear jammed.

I pulled it apart, which isn't too daunting but certainly not the easiest thing I have ever disassembled. Found that a tooth or two had broken from the little cog on the motor.

Here's the metal equivalent part swapped the cog for:

        "0.5M 82A Brass Gear Spur Pinion Bore Aperture 2MM 1.95MM 8 Teeth 8T2A 5MM 0.5Mod"

Fantastic, I'm going to pull it apart tonight to have a look. Thanks mate!
