How Good Is The Silk Duvet from Vesta-Sleep?

Have been looking for a silk duvet online and found there’s a sales on vesta-sleep.com. The deals seem to be quite good but I have never heard of vesta-sleep before. Has anyone had any experience with vesta-sleep and its silk duvet products? Please suggest alternative products if possible. Thank you.

$800 for a duvet it mind boggling. You should probably post this on OzRipoffs.com.au

      It's all good.

Their Duvet Max == currently on sale for $881 … marked down from $1,259.
In true OZB style == win win.

      Bargain !!!

  • 2kg seems a bit light for a king.

Silk's good though. Can't comment on this brand.

    • Sorry I have never owned a silk duvet, but isn’t silk meant to be light?

A strand of silk is light, but you need more than a strand to make a king sized blanket.

My winter weight doubles weigh 5kg each, so clearly that king size in the OP is not for cold weather.

If you want light, you get a down blanket. Silk, when in amounts needed to make a warm blanket, is quite heavy. And I don't see the point of summer weight silk blankets- you can use anything else that'll be just as comfortable and cheaper.

I would not buy a silk blanket online in Australia. It's too uncommon, so there's not enough info on it. I'd want to be able to check it out in person, in a store.

Oh, and you should probably know you can't throw a silk blanket into a washing machine. You sun dry them once a year.

        • Thanks for the useful info.
