iPhone 15 Stock Levels

So now that the first wave of iPhone 15 release is behind us, wondering how the stock levels will be in the coming days/weeks.

15 pro max 256gb stock is not found anywhere anymore. Apple says like shipped new orders from November.

What are the chances that other retailers get some stock in Sep/Oct? I’m looking at the usual suspects such as JB, Officeworks, Good guys etc. While no one knows for sure, in the past it seems that stock has been arriving sporadically - just not predictable.

Anyone has any experience or knowledge around this?

Edit: For all the confused people saying its not urgent, it depends on the use case. Some like me need a phone for work. Now that my old iPhone 11 battery finally giving up, I gotta decide whether to get a 14 or a 15 pro. (Given the screen cracks etc not looking to replace battery :) Might as well get a 15 now that it's out.

Apple yesterday had plenty of stock of base 15 models when I was there (this was Chadstone Store)

Wait till November it’s just a phone..

    • Its iphone… ordinary phone with an i… made people camp 2 nights on the street….

      • +2

And then there was that massive brawl in Dubai… Over a (fropanity) phone… And most of these sheep would have an iPhone 14 already…

      • made people camp 2 nights on the street

Folks still camping out for iPhone releases these days?

  • This is, generally, the case. The preorders soak up a fair bit of the stock.

15 iterations into a phone and people are still asking the same question.

Find something useful to do with your life and you won't be thinking about stock levels for a useless made in china sweat shop pos.

Here's what you should do. Stop watching social media about iphone 15 and youtube reviews and pretend the phone will be released in December. Plenty of stock by then.

    • Shallow judgement, but a good perspective. I have to buy a few potentially for work so might as well get the latest (see edit note). Wouldn’t have bothered if we had 13/14 but stuck with badly used 11s so time to upgrade

My man. If it's for work, just don't spend more than $1000 on each phone. Employees don't need iphone 15 pro swag.

Engineers at my workplace still rocking the iphone 11 lol

Browski, I love to treat my employees whenever I can with these little things, which don't necessarily cost me much either. Hate to cut back when it can really delight someone's day.

@randomdude14: if u cant pre order me a iphone 15 pro max 1tb on day one i would quit.
unacceptable. do u even value me as an employee.
am i a third rate employee who has to wait for a iphone

@djones145: One day if you have employees, I hope you'd treat them the best you can, not out of fear of them quitting. Because its the right thing to do.

Out of stock on Amazon too…

Generally from previous years, you need to pre-order in advance when goes live to get it first week of release. Picked mine up from Apple Store on Friday just fine. Always pick an afternoon slot to avoid the queues in morning.

If you order now from Apple Store with November delivery date, it'll arrive earlier by a week or two. Dates will keep creeping forwards which is good.

Demand is high globally, they can barely keep up production and logistics to deliver everywhere in the world. I don't see other retailers getting stock before Apple themselves do.

Come January, it'll be stacked on store shelves and no one cares about it anymore.

Good insights. And spot on about this demand drying up quickly:)

Plenty of 512GB and 1TB Max Pro in stock at JB HiFi.

  • new to this forum, and want to know where to buy an iPhone 15 pro max natural titanium 256GB, I have got balance in my Apple account so bound to buy it from Apple only. so far online order shows no stock and shipping in Dec. Location: Melbourne

    • Today I got $2200 worth of gift vouchers with 15% off (giftcards.com.au) specifically ultimate Home gift cards (4 by $500 and 1 by $200)

Then added these to my apple wallet once they came to my email ~5 mins later.

Then went to good guys and purchased iPhone 15 pro max and got an additional $100 (in store use) with the Stancash promotion they have.

iPhone 15 pro max ended up costing $1870 and I also have $100 credit to spend on case/ screen protector at the good guys.

Only bummer as with everywhere is I have to wait 3 weeks for it arrive as there is no stock.

Thanks everyone for the above information scattered on OzBargain!!

3 weeks is very ambitious if you only ordered today. Even Apple store orders today are stretched to December (and assume they have priority and more realistic forecasts)

  • I have balance in my apple account and not in wallet and because of that I am bound to buy it via apple only. Even, I cant see the balance in my apple wallet account,

On here I have heard people doing everything I l listed but then purchasing apple gift cards once in your wallet, apparently some were able to get the full amount from one jb hi fi others split it as they might have had a $1000 limit on buying apple gift cards. Obviously this method you don’t get $100 Stan cash

FYI your apple gift card credit won’t appear in your wallet, to view this go to “settings” click your name and then “payment and delivery” and your balance will be listed. I feel like apple use to show this information at the bottom of the iTunes Store app but no longer.

      • does that mean apple gc credit can only be used within apple website to buy stuff and cant use them in wallet?

        • You buy the apple gift cards and then load them into your balance on your phone until you have enough for the iPhone. Then go to the online apple store and use your balance to buy it.

        • +1

Correct apple gift card credit can only be used to purchase apple website items or subscriptions through App Store, for example I use it to pay my Netflix, flash news and obviously apple one subscription. Unfortunately Netflix has now stopped users from being able to sign up via their iPhone app now but existing users can pay the monthly subscription using apple gift card credit. This works well when Woolworths have a 15% apple gift cards where I can load up my apple balance through these cards and therefore get this discount applied to my Netflix flash and apple one.

I will always look out for the Woolworths 15% of apple gift card

I spoke to an iEmployee at an Apple store, he said if you want stock go on the website every day at 6am as that is when they update their stock they receive physically in a store. You can reserve it and you only pay when you pick up in store. You can also back out beforehand without consequence if you change your mind.

  • Any latest updates on the stock levels of the pro max? Looking to purchase within a month

    • +1

fair bit of stock appearing in different apple stores through out the day. if you really want, you can keep checking apple website time to time as it shows what colors/sizes available elsewhere.

      • Thank you. I saw a few on the OW website too but before i could purchase it was sold :(

        • +1

maybe cancellation of past orders. Apple store is more reliable, purchase a few through monitoring that.
