Suitable for rooms up to 135m²
effectively cleans rooms up to 104 m²

So suitable for ineffectively cleaning rooms >104-135m²?

Anyone used one of these utensils before? I'm using a dehumidifier to stop mould but I'm still getting some allergy problems.

Yes I bought one the other week when the promotion was first launched by Bing Lee.

I bought it for numerous reasons as I live in the middle of Melbourne and the pollution is bad during summer, the apartment has crap synthetic carpet that fills the vacuum every time I clean and I have sinuous. The apartment is 110sqm and it appears (hard to judge) to manage that space.

The app informs you of the air quality and will warn you if there is a big change. My wife applies her perfume in the morning before work and the unit kicks in and messages the app stating that the gas level has increased (it clears the perfume and winds back down-you can smell the change) . My sinuous fits in the morning have decreased and the unit has allayed my concern with synthetic carpet particles flying everywhere.

Would it stop mould ?. That's not my area of expertise but I would think it would certainly trap particles floating around.

I managed to get a spare filter free as part of a Philips promotion finishing this weekend

  • FWIW, the NX purifier seems comparable, specs- and performance-wise and is a fraction of the cost at $92 ea.

Seems the replacement filter is discontinued.

    • Yep it's a $300-600 device that requires yearly (so they say) filter replacements that you can no longer buy, supurb customer service there.

    • Maybe they replaced it with some other filter model? I can't tell because the website is so bad - filters don't mention what products they're for, and vice versa.
This is a deal breaker if it really is discontinued.

    • Air purifiers are like printers — often much easier to buy a new one than replace the cartridge. Also you have the benefit of getting the latest air-scrubbing tech

    • I thought there was a legal requirement to support your product for a certain time period.
