Has Anybody Noticed 14 Day Shipping from AliExpress Is Gone?

I have bought a lot of stuff from AliExpress and generally wait until I have more than the $7-$8 minimum spend in order to get the 14 day shipping. However, I have noticed than their website doesn’t seem to offer that option in the cart anymore, so I’m back to looking at almost 2 months shipping!! Anybody noticed this also?

  • What items were you buying for 8 AUD that had 14 day guaranteed shipping? Everything that I bought other than some $100 watches has always consistently been at minimum 30 days with the record being 4 months lmao

  • A lot of my purchases have been small in cost, typically between $1-$4 from each store. When I check out I have always got the option to get free 14 shipping if I shop with a total of about $7-$8 or more. My recent cart was $28, but no 14 day shipping option. The cart had about 4-5 different sellers in it. Here is an item I bought with 14 day shipping offered.

ive gotten most items from Aliexpress in less than 7 days, ebay shipping takes forever these days from overseas

  • Three orders in the last few months and each turned up within 14 days - all sub $10 items. No mention of prompt delivery when ordering.

I reckon students are carrying them in to the country in their pockets and posting them locally after they arrive!

    • Yeah, probably. I have found that when I buy several items at same time from different sellers they often arrive in one package. It looks like they come to Oz in bulk then some dude rebate them for final delivery in Aus. Since they have Chinese shipping on original label but auspost on delivered item.

  • What's everyone buying (besides watches) I've never really found anything that takes my fancy besides some cheap coffee accessories

    • AliExpress is just great for small items like parts etc. I buy little electronic circuits to do various things- voltage level converters, transistors, leads, UAV dye ($4) and UAV light ($2) (to detect oil leak), spring ($1.50), ESP32 devices etc etc. all small stuff which is often hard to find in Oz or 10 times more expensive! Most arrive in 2 weeks, but it says that. Small stuff like that I’m buying now gives typical delivery date at the end on November, yikes!!

      • UAV dye ($4) and UAV light ($2) (to detect oil leak)

        Genius.

    • Last few orders have been niche computer parts (cabling, adapters, sensors), Clone Hero guitar, SSD for Steam Deck, uniquely sized PC fan, phone case, and mobile phone holder.

  • It's been 15 days for ages.

  • Its still there for me on things I like

  • Shipping gets clogged up from nov-feb (thanks to christmas and chinese new year) so won't be surprised if they remove that option.

  • Temu orders come in less than a week

  • The "Choice' section in the Aliexpress app gives you free delivery if over $15 and 15 day delivery guarantee.

I too shop for odds and ends on there.

I noticed the 14 day delivery gone too. So I asked on the Chat service what was happening. Eventually managed to get a human Chat agent then a bit more time for them to understand the issue. Here is the Q&A (28/09/2023):

Q: Many items have 14 days on them. NOW no items have that. Has Aliexpress removed that option?

A: Got it, but for the 14 days guarantee delivery, this might be removed as of the moment due to the Holiday in China the reason why the items might not be able to prepare within the 14 days guarantee period.

Q: Is it just one day?

A: For the Holiday, it will start from September 29, - October 6, 2023.

I have a 5 different items coming with the 14 day delivery ordered just before the the 29th so existing orders do not appear to be affected.
Let's see what happens on Oct-6.

It would be good if they could explain the reason on the site but I guess they don't want buyers to to hold off ordering

  • It seems to be back but now I can't see it on the search results page if the 14 day delivery is provided. Not sure why they would deliberately do that or maybe it's just another example of Ali-express's poor IT work. Most items I click on show the 14 day delivery.

    • Useful information guidedog1 - thanks for reporting your chat results here! I’m glad it’s back as you say!! Unfortunately, I ordered stuff when it was absent so now I’m stuck with a longer delivery time for those items!! Cheers.
