    $387 here

I am sure starbuy will match it or beat it

      • That may be the case. But it is still advertised cheaper elsewhere.

      $369 here if first purchase.

      • Nice.
Would probably buy at that price if I wasn't too lazy to wind up my watch.

      • Oh shows as 389 for me

        • +3

Because you still need to apply the $20 first purchase coupon

      • Will SB match?

        • They did

  • Damnit, I still want this in the brown.. 😪

    And the PRX80 in OP's colour.. 😭

    This watch does look great!

As a owner of this watch for four years now, it is great and the dial is stunningly beautiful.

However…… buyers be aware the hardlex scratches easily and for that reason I’ll never buy another watch that isn’t sapphire

    • +1

Depends on the person, I don't have any scratches on my Seiko SKX007 hardlex lens.

Strange this isn't even in the weekend sale.

    • This is why I haven’t considered buying one yet. As an Ozbargainer I could not buy one with sapphire at a ridiculous markup compared to the feature equivalent ones at only $$ from AliExpress.

    • +2

You can buy replacement sapphire box crystals to swap out. I've done it with my Mockingbird Presage.

      • Interesting, can you share the link / retailer you purchased from? thanks

        • Plenty on ebay. Just specify the sapphire crystal width & whether you want ant-reflective.

Been at this price on and off for a while now.. Hope they have an actual sale for these

  • So pretty these Presages.
When I wear one and people ask what is it, what's the correct pronunciation though….is it "pree - saige" or "press - arge"?

    • +1

I’ve been going with the latter. Most Youtube reviewers seem to as well and I recall watching a Seiko spokesperson pronounced it the same.

    • Kinda rhymes with massage

I've owned this watch with the silly bluey black smooth strap. Watch is a tad too big for a dress watch 40.5mm you ideally want the sizing of Sarb33 (38mm). Clock face is not very legible, a bit annoying in sunny conditions. Interesting watch for collection purposes but not a good everyday wearer.

    • +2

Yeah I agree. 40.5 is rather large for a dress watch. I am currently wearing a SNKE51K1 as my dress watch. It's 37mm and it's a tiny bit too small for my liking (still love it though) so I reckon 38mm would be the perfect dress watch size.

      • +1

I wouldn't go less than 39mm myself. But then I have big wrists/wide hands, so YMMV.

        • +1

I'm okay with large watches. Hell, I own a Seiko Perpetual SPC123, which is a pretty monstrous 44.6mm watch. It's just that for dress watches, small and sleek is the way to go for me.

  • Watch Depot and Linda and Co are all fighting it out over these. Can buy via your preferred.

Beautiful timepiece. Had many compliments on mine and it looks stunning in the full sun.

  • I bought the Mockingbird a couple of months back and it's amazing. Probably my favourite watch.

  • I feel like the Alpinist for $799 is also a decent buy. Very rarely see this one discounted/in stock.

Problem is, everyone then knows you're wearing a Breitling. Better off wearing a Rolex 🙄

    • +5

Tell me you know nothing about watch collecting without telling me you know nothing about watch collecting

    • Not everyone can afford Breitlings SirFaffer, but they still like quality and good design, and these Seikos fit the bill to a tee.

    • +7

No respectable horology enthusiast will knock on Seiko, especially for Presage/GS dials.

That Breitling dial is bland and boring, and the diamond bezel version looks tacky af. Your average joe takes one quick glance at that and they'll think you got it from Paddy's Markets.

I'll wear my Matcha Cocktail Presage with green alligator strap over that any day.

    • +7

Problem is, if you buy a Breitling, everyone will know you are a Narcissistic w_nker. Better of buying a Patek Philippe. The Nautilus 5711/1A is a well priced option.

    • Am I getting this right. Instead of a $400 watch, you're suggesting an $8000 one?

    • I'm sorta with you SirFaffer. Not enough to + your comment, but also not -.

I say go entirely the other way — get a Pagani homage for a small fraction of the price. Seiko's strength are their movements. Get that with better alignment, finish, sapphire etc.
Hardlex at this price is just rude.

    • "XLV4N2DD"

Was that the droid you were looking for?

  • As a side note, the white Seiko Presage Zen Garden is back in stock. If I had more money or if it was cheaper I'd buy it in a heartbeat.
