Any reason not to get the 5000 series XXL Airfryer?

    • tossing up between this and the smart sensing with auto temp control

      • I would lean the 9861 way but my missus hates the colour.

    • I have the 5000 series. The pre select feature is very underdone as most of the items have the same temperature, which is the only variable that's changed. If I were buying again I'd either splurge for this one and hope the smart sensor is actually useful (unlike the 5000 series presets) or go for the simply two dial models that are actually easier to use.

  • Can someone who knows anything about air fryers tell me which one to buy? Do we have to buy the most expensive one? There are 2 of us in the house and sometimes we might like to roast a chicken in one. Does this mean we need the XXL, or will the XL suffice?

Unless its a bantam, you'd need the XXL.

Thank you. I grabbed the 5000 series XXL.

    • You can roast a chicken in an airfryer!?

      • Apparently!

        • What temp? I woulda thought it would be nice and rare in the middle.

          • @Bdawg: Haven't got a clue, as you can gather from my previous comments, I don't own one yet. They have a picture of a chicken being roasted in the Amazon listing and I've heard that friends have done it, I'm not sure about the technique though.

yes you can. whens its half done pause it and turn it upside down so it doesnt dry out the breast. quite tasty, moist and delicious! it will leave you frothin at the mouth…LOL

  • I’m starting to lean back towards a more toaster oven design type air fryer, having owned an XXL for a fair few years now. On paper the oven style ones seem to have more use cases than these pod style ones.

  • Is it easy to wash?

  • Ordered Tuesday for $360. Eta sometime in the 2nd half of oct. Currently available for $498 with next day delivery. Interesting pricing model
