Google One is A$24.99 / year for 100GB and it's very unlikely that Google would go under and delete your files anytime soon.

I actually pay $0/yr because of all the Google Rewards surveys I get.

Beware of "lifetime cloud storage" deals, their business models aren't really viable.

    • Thanks. want aware if Google rewards surveys.

      how does that work?

long time back i did few things where they permanently added extra 5gb to 15gb limit on my account. i haven't seen that again.

curious to know how these surgery works. haven't seen anything posted on ozbargain about them

      • Surveys are exactly that, you spend roughly 1 minute answering a survey that comes on your mobile app and get a small reward (roughly $0.10 to $0.50 depending on length) added to your Google Play balance. This balance can be used to pay for any subscriptions or premium app/game in the Play Store.

Including in-app purchases for games and such. I exclusively use mine to pay for Google1 subscriptions

I earn enough each month that it fully covers the cost of the Basic plan.

        • how do earn maximum ?

          • @capslock janitor: Provide honest answers to surveys. Google knows a lot about you already but they just want your opinion on things. They ask you where you went to on a certain date, whether you bought something and how you paid for it.

So keep your paper receipts handy, and take a photo of it when you get one. Uploading the receipt to the app earns you more rewards.

          • @capslock janitor: donate the only thing he hasn't yet? Bodily organs

        • Noob question but is this downloadable in Australia for iOS?
I have clicked your link but doesnt appear to work in Australia

          • @sharka: Unfortunately for Australians, you cannot use the iOS version of rewards.

Lifetime = lifetime of the company.

Who knows how sustainable their business model is?

30tb until 2090 for free sounds better to me

  • google Rewards app

  • M365 is less then $1.5 per 1 tb per month, sold in groups of 6 for 12 months.

    eg, https://www.saveonit.com.au/product/microsoft-office-365-fam…

    $104 —> 1 tb —> 12 months —> 6 accounts

    $104 / (12 * 6)

    $104 / 72

    $1.44

you get 6 licences of office 365 included

This really isn't comparable to cloud storage from Big Tech. If you don't know what you're doing then comparing on pricing alone is fairly reckless.

not sure if it is still available but I got 200GB for free through Telstra.

Costs to supply online storage (connectivity, rack space, replacement of hardware) are not one-offs but continue to increase over time.

If someone is selling lifetime service for a fixed price they are either considering your lifetime or theirs (at most when they run out of money).
