There were lots of cartons of eggs on the shelves.
Saw 9/10/23 expiry but didn't look at other cartons.

The benefit of price jack, causing sale lag. I scored more 80%+ off stuff recently.
I’m scoring great stuff at 80-90% off at Woolworths. Coles on the other hand are only doing miserly discounts.
Yes, it depends on locations. I can visit several stores and find the ones locating in large shopping centre like Westfield usually do not mark down heavily.
A small tip…. If you are unsure of an egg's freshness, put it in a cup of water and if it floats then it's bad. If it stays on the bottom it's still good.

Hint. Unless they are individually stickered, grab the longer date ones as long as they are same brand and have the same barcode. It will still scan up at discounted price, provided they have longer date ones, which in my experience they often do
Yes, you are right. It can happen, but most of time, only short dated ones are on the shelf.
Still plenty left as of 1hr ago. Some with 10/10/23 being the best before date

They should still be good for a couple of weeks after the best before date, if you store them properly.
