5.4L of detergent in the nice 'sideways' shelved bottle that allows you to just pour from a tap into the lid for washing.
works out at $4.80 per liter

Same thing is $37 in Big W so is a good saving!
the $18 for 4L - https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/803505 is a bit better 'per liter' at $4.50…but less convenient, the 'big bottle' is really worth the extra.
(it would be $19.20 at the same per liter price as the 5.4l one)

if you're super 'cost efficient' then go for the smaller bottle and refill your larger one!

Why pay $ for detergent premixed with water? Is there something special about liquid detergents that I'm missing out on?

    • Apparently the powder has fillers in them had a washing machine tech come out told me this, so rolled onto liquid.

      • I thought they just had sodium hypochlorite (which would evaporate in liquid) and zeolites. Not sure what fillers they would use.

Yeah depends on you detergent you have and use easy way is to grab a jar fill with water add some powder in and if it fully dissolves then your good I suppose.

What did it for me is when the tech opened the machine it was jammed full of build up white powder.

          • @Shieldsy85: I use cold power sensitive. I find it has the least amount of residue of all washing options. Omo sensitive is terrible.
