Been this price before but with some cashback and cards it's cheaper. Really great for anyone that's into audio streaming from anything other than Apple music. Bit perfect digital outputs and good app with an alright DAC that won't satisfy audiophiles but will be enough if you just want to listen to music. The remote one is more expensive and less % discount because they don't normally discount the remote.

Was looking at these but with the 'plus' about to drop; which has a much better dac its going to be worth me waiting and forking out the difference I think.

Definitely if you want an all in one system or if you don't want to spend too much extra but buying an external DAC might be better but that's really up to you and your audio situation.

    • I already ordered the one with the remote but I don't know if I should cancel and get the one without. What do you think?

    • I'm in the same boat - not in a position to add a discrete DAC so will probably just standby and hope there's some discounts around/after Christmas.

      • Definitely wait. They do need to bring it to Australia first but hopefully that's soon. They are slow to get stuff here.

The Wiim Pro Plus will probably be at least $100 more expensive than the Wiim Pro, so an external DAC is going to about the same if you buy the excellent SMSL SU-1 (which is $119 at full price, $105 at the moment). My guess is that the SMSL SU-1 DAC will be better than the built in DAC in the Pro Plus.

  • Pro is showing at $175 for me now. That's also what the Wiim site suggests it should be priced at currently in AUD too.

Yes already updated. Thanks for the comment. For some reason it kept changing back to the rrp but let's hope it's stopped.
