      Because the coating really changes the day to day use of the phone screen.

      Having your finger slide smoothly across the screen is very comfortable compared to a screen protector that doesn't have the coating.

        oic, most temper glass screen protectors I've used felt quite smoothly to slide fingers across
        while the standard plastic ones don't always feel smooth

            @Gorian4: does temper glass with oleophobic coating actually feel more smoother than temper glass not mention oleophobic coating?

            I bought and used temper glass and the ebay listing never mention oleophobic coating (so never knew about this coating) but they have felt smooth
            so don't know if there is that much of a difference or how to tell if there is or not

            Also which well known brands have this oleophobic coating?
