Hey all,
Has anyone noticed that the Amazon Prime delivery items are over a week away? Generally it's 1-2 days, and everything I'm looking at is now at the absolute earliest 20th of October (and some more popular items is delayed out until the 23rd/24th.
I doubt Prime Day would be causing this.
Is this happening for anyone else? Or potentially something has happened with my locaiton.
Ordered stuff in the morning yesterday, got it today. Ordered stuff in the afternoon yesterday, it is arriving tomorrow.
My guess is inventory location, so the ones 1-2 days near you are out of stock so you have to get inventory from those that are a week away. Or else they have stock incoming, but won't be there for a week.
But I've always just assumed that was the case, don't know for sure. FWIW definitely check its sold and shipped by Amazon, sometimes I notice its sneakily another vendor but shows up because its the same product and Amazon is out of stock and its only a tiny text on the top right, so its the shipping time that makes me realise its someone else.
Not many drivers wanna deliver to " The Hood".
I find if couriers please picks it up its usually a week as it sits with them and then they hand it off to Aus post and it gets delivered within a couple days of that.
Say they have 1000 of a certain item at your local warehouse so when you look at it it’ll be next day delivery. Then Prime Day happens and everyone buys it, depleting your local stock. Then it’ll have to come from interstate warehouse, taking longer.

Depends on location and logistics. Sydney CBD is next day delivery.
It usually takes a week or so for stuff to arrive at my PO Box. I already got some stuff I ordered yesterday.
I get eBay items in 3 days from most sellers; I've yet to receive any Amazon parcels within a week

I'm in Milsons Point and everything is 2 days plus. Some things a week where everything used to be next day or even same day.
Ordered last night, received this morning.
You must be shook …. suggest a lie-down to calm your nerves. Look into moving to 'murica where they have same day delivery.
In Tasmania , good luck getting anything under two weeks from Amazon, to make it worse they started using Aramex which took just on 3 weeks for last delivery. Starting to wonder if Prime is worth it for me.
Ya delivery times blown out recently(for me anyway). Major metropolitan area. Claiming 1 or 2 day deliveries turns into 3 or 4 day deliveries. Don’t care. Just be up front and say so.
Better to under promise and over deliver.
Then over promise and under deliver.
When 1-2 advertised days becomes 4 days that is classic definition of over promising.
