  • I am reading mixed things about what phones the Bluetooth on these actually works with. Bit nervous to purchase as I don't want to use a dongle all the time

    • +1

All I got from reviews was “newer Android phones”. iPhone 15 will require the dongle.

  • So these are also made by Sony for the playstation…but aren’t the playstation buds they advertised with the portal. Bit confusing tbh.

    • +1

These are made by Sony Electronics, their TV, speaker, gadget branch.

The PlayStation branded, Pulse Explore are made by the actual PlayStation branch, Sony Interactive Entertainment.

  • Reminds me of the XM3 earbuds…

  • bluetooth?

    • Looks like it connects to a USB-C dongle. No mention of Bluetooth in the web pages.

      Low Latency allows enhanced precision
A USB-C dongle connection provides latency of less than 30 ms so there will be nothing to hold you back.

      • "The new L1 Processor delivers up to 12 hours of battery life, 2x the battery life of similar products, via ultra-low latency dongle, or as much as 24 hours via Bluetooth LE."

        • This is from JB:

The new low power consumption processor L1 provides up to 12 hours of battery life in the headphones, with up to 24 hours total battery life with the charging case. With the industry's longest battery life, the INZONE Buds are ready to power longer sessions and revolutionise your gaming.

No mention of Bluetooth in Sony's press release.

I wonder where EB Games got their features list. It is different from JB's & Sony's.

The new L1 Processor delivers up to 12 hours of battery life, 2x the battery life of similar products, via ultra-low latency dongle, or as much as 24 hours via Bluetooth LE. When including the storage case, up to 48 hours of playtime is possible.

@alvian: That was from EB's page, sure I saw it elsewhere yesterday as well but will see if I can find it.

Edit: Shannon Grixti over at Press Start has had some playtime with them and says they support Bluetooth but only LE, so only work with pretty recent Android phones.

              @McFodder: Another hands-on review.

              it provides a dedicated low-latency 2.4GHz wireless connection (with a sub-30 millisecond delay)…

… you can also rely on a standard Bluetooth LE connection.

When listening to music on my phone where latency isn’t a big concern, I was happy to use Bluetooth. But when I was sitting in front of my PC or PS5, switching audio sources was as simple as plugging the dongle into a free USB-C port.

  • How would these inzone earbuds compare to a headset like the inzone H7?

I’m wondering how good the mic is in the earbuds too

  • Looks like out of stock at both JB and Amazon also no white version sold here?

    • And delayed until December 1st from November 15th. Instock at Sony and yeah, doesn’t appear to be any white (currently) for us.

    • Back in stock @JB and I managed to get them to price match Amazon with my shipping cost so total for me was $248 and using 15% off discounted GC too!

  • Lol RIP I should not have snoozed on this but no biggie waiting till December as long as I can still nab it at the $250 price tag before mid November I'll be happy
