The Laphroaig entry level whisky is currently available for an incredible price.

A great Islay whisky that exhibits smokey sweetness you'd expect from this distillery.

This special Laphroaig is crafted from carefully selected casks from each of the distillery's key styles - with one notable addition. The heart of this single malt is drawn from a final maturation in new American Oak casks, a rarity used for Scotch whisky maturation. With spirit selected by the master distiller from Quarter Cask, PX Cask and Triple Wood (European Oak casks) and a final addition of 10 Year Old, the whisky represents a subtle blending of peat, oak and sweetness. This is a full-bodied expression, featuring Laphroaig's trademark 'peat reek' matched by an additional layer of complexity and depth brought about by the fusion of the maturation styles and different oaks.

    Harsher. No age statement on the select cask - it's just a mix of whatever they have left over in the barrel. I'm a big fan of Laphroaig/Lagavulin and those peaty styles but I can't say I enjoyed the select cask.

  This gets bad reviews, in this price range you can get the Talisker 10 which is imo the best peated whisky under $100.

      Often on sale in the high $90 range, then stack with 20% off at Coles Liquor. I've been successful in price matching at Dan's too.

      I just double checked, unfortunately no sales ATM :(

      Talisker 10 and Laphroaig 10 on sale for $100 each this week at Coles Liquor. Unfortunately the 20% discount at checkout seems to have turned into a 10% discount, still a decent price though at $90.
