  • NICE COLES!!

In the app can you make a "Activate all" button? - Quite annoying to click it 15 times!!?!

    • +2

      great feedback!

      • Hey, irrelevant to the post but I signed up for the September or August deal where I was supposed to get 800 points. I never recieved the points but I did all the steps correctly. Also is there a mimimum bank transfer limit?

        • +1

Also is there a mimimum bank transfer limit?

I tend to cashout to my crypto wallet rather than bank transfer, and I tend to cash out as soon as I have 50c or so worth. Sometimes that means I do a whole heap of transfers even on the same day.

I just don't want to be in a situation where I can't access my balance due to changes in the app… which happened badly on https://www.ozbargain.com.au/deals/socialgood.inc

          • @isthisreallife22: When you mean crypto wallet, do you mean the Shping Goods coins or is it another crypto currency?

          • +1

@isthisreallife22: @NotReallyaMoneySaver & @TeamShping - I've been using this app for my 2nd week now and absolutely loving it. First came to know from OzB itself. I recall back then my 1st question was also if there's a minimum limit - which was addressed that there's none. So you literally can buy the Cadbury, scan receipt, get cashback within a few minutes and cash it into your Bank (full amount). But then, its not unlimited money as there is tier limits. You start out on Basic tier and can only cash out max $20. Silver $30, and so on. To reach the next tier, the effort and activities required to do also increase. My only other question is does the max limit reset monthly or is that just it and you must move to next tier to withdraw the excess?

            • +1

              @nsingh21: @nsingh21
The withdrawal limit is monthly - it resets at the beginning of each month.

              Great app!

              • @ygtro: Fantastic, thanks everyone for the clarification.

            • +1

@nsingh21: Yeah it resets with the calendar month!

        • Hey - we are processing this week so should get it in the next 7 days!

There is no minimum bank transfer limit

          Ney notters, re:

'Also is there a mimimum bank transfer limit?'

There is not, but note that there is a maximum transfer limit of $20 per month, and this limit also applies to moving 'Shping coins' into a digital wallet. This maximum limits the usefulness of the app substantially, and can result in you ultimately receiving less cash than you had anticipated, if the value of Shping coins goes down while you are waiting a month to be able to do a transfer again. This is the single worst aspect of the entire set-up, in my humble opinion.

          • @GnarlyKnuckles: I agree 💯. I have over $2,000 of shping coin and will never be able to access it all because they only cashback what you earned the previous month.

            • +1

              @seanbaussie: $2000 worth… what???

              • @isthisreallife22: It's 391,000 Shping which is about AU$2,600
I've had the account for a long time since Shping started and wasn't highly valued - and when they gave higher values.

                • @seanbaussie: Did you only just find out about the monthly limits? Shame… I've been withdrawing to Coinbase after every scan pretty much

                  • @isthisreallife22: Let's just say that Shping has evolved since I started earning.

                    • @seanbaussie: I think this is the sole reason for those crappy monthly limits they have. There would be a lot of peeps out there sitting on a large amount, and they want to make sure that they can never actually cash it out, because that would ruin them; so they impose this limit of $240 per year.

I'm assuming you have stopped using 'Shping' izza, because … well, what's the point for you, right?

Maybe you will revisit Shping in 13 years, when you have finally been able to cash out all the coins you currently have? lol

  • btw another issue… I went to Ikea the other day and scanned my reicpet. now it says some items are unrecognised, but when I go and scan the barcode of the item it says The code is not supported.

    • Yeah I have been receiving that a bit lately (first time in the 9 months or so I've used it) and Ikea items were one of the sources of issue for me.

    • We're looking into this - thanks for letting us know!

  • Can you still get the booster coins if you order online on Coles and upload that receipt?

    • Yes, we accept online receipts.

  • I have been seeing Shping deals lately, I have never used the app before.
Whats the points to dollar conversion and when can you convert your points to dollars.
I see you get 406.26 points with cadbury chocolate, but what's this equivalent to.

    • Shping Coins are our own unique cryptocurrency and the price will change from time to time.
These deals are "pegged" to the dollar amount, so the cadbury deal will always give you $2.75 at the time of uploading your receipt.
So if the coin price goes down, you will get more coins to ensure you are rewarded the full $2.75

$2.75 Cash Back in Shping Rewards

I think the term cash back is misleading in the title, just say $2.75 of Shping Rewards. Cash back is also not mentioned anywhere on the website so they know to not use that term.

The Byron Bay cookies are also 100% back in Shping rewards if you buy at woolies

    • you're on the ball! that is going to be our post for tomorrow!!

  • Do you accept digital receipts from Woolies?

    • +2

Yep I do that all the time, and I recently noticed on Android if you "share" the receipt from the Everyday Rewards app (as if you were going to email it or add to dropbox) there is now a "Add Receipt to Shping" option too !!! Game changer

  • Registered with Shping airdrop two weeks ago and received confirmation email, did all the tasks but no bonus received.

The next airdrop is being processed this coming Friday! If all tasks have been carried out you should be included in that :)

  • Do you accept Supa IGA receipts? I have never been able to get one accepted on your site. Cadbury Dairy Milk currently $2.69 at IGA

    • The Cadbury Booster offer is only for Coles and Woolworths

They are not good at recognize the receipt anyway.

    • I can chat with you on the phone again today if you are still having issues.

  • Just a lil sharing of my Shping experience thus far … signed up on 27Sep. Started at Basic tier, climbed to Bronze in a week and now attained Silver tier last week (took 2wks completing all the required tasks).

Up to yesterday I accumulated 3253 Shping coins which was equivalent to AUD21.98 (based on yesterday's market rate). Some of you asked about the conversion rate & from the above 1 SHP = approx AUD0.00676 as of yesterday.

On the point will you ever the see actual cold hard cash, the answer is yes based on my one off experience thus far. I tried to withdraw the whole AUD21.98 above yesterday and it was seamless, easy & went without a hitch eg. I put in my bank BSB & AC no and I received the above today into the bank ac. And there was no processing fee or charges for the above withdrawal.

On a separate note, I had great difficulty uploading Woolies e-receipts this past weekend despite multiple attempts (this was weird coz I had NO problem 2wks ago). Fortunately I also got the physical manual receipts & Shping accepted the photos of these when I uploaded them. Something you all might want to consider just in case (much to the dismay of tree 🌲 lovers unfortunately .. LOL)

    • You are still in the 'honeymoon phase'. Get back to us in 2 months and let us know how it's going.

      Cheers

  • After investigating as to why I was only able to cash out a tiny amount this month (about $1; not $20), I've just come across another restriction on cashing out your Shping coins that can reduce the amount you can cash out every month to zero, even if you are sitting on thousands of dollars worth.

Their app states that in any given calendar month you can only cash out a maximum of:

'double the previous month earned coin' [sic].

So, even just to cash out the measly $20 per month supposedly allowed, you'd need to keep on doing the endless tedious tasks required to build up $10 worth of coins, every single month; no matter how many coins you already had. This could be construed by some as a 'clever tactic' to keep people engaged in their scheme (keep them on the hook), but actually it's more of a scammy/underhand way to stop peeps from simply cashing out the coins they have earned over time, unless they continue to do substantial amounts of work every month for this Shping mob.

Anyone seriously considering taking up the 'Shping thing' in earnest should take careful note of:

    1. The amount of time it actually takes to jump through all the hoops required just to accumulate a few cents work of coins each time.

    2. The fact that realistically, you will only ever be able to withdraw a maximum of $20 worth of coin per calendar month.

    3. When you find a more lucrative way to make money/a less cumbersome/time-consuming side-hustle, of which there are many out there, and you are sick of messing around taking pics of every receipt etc., you will effectively be 'stuck' with whatever balance you have accumulated; because of the cash-out clause I have detailed above—you won't be able to withdraw even $20 per month.

    • Hey GnarlyKnuckles,

      Thanks for sharing your thoughts.

Your point 2. about "$20" maximum is only true for basic level, as other members in the thread have pointed out, they have quickly levelled up and can cash out much more.

The app is intended to enhance your existing shopping routine.
It's not designed to generate income; instead, you simply need to upload your shopping receipts to earn rewards.

Uploading your receipts should only take about 5 seconds and could potentially yield you between 40 cents to $7.00 based on your level and what you bought.
For many individuals, this serves as an excellent opportunity to earn rewards for products they already purchase.

However, if this approach doesn't suit your needs for any reason, we value your feedback and remain committed to enhancing the rewarding experience of Shping.

  • I have downloaded the app and scanned/uploaded the receipt.
I tried to withdraw from Rewards by keying in $2.75 and did not succeed.
    It showed a current balance of 206.15 but I couldn't withdraw $2.75.

It said it exceeded the cash-out limit.

    Can anyone help?

  • Does this still work if I pay it with a Coles gift card?

    • It should as if is just checking if the item appears on the receipt you scan in

  • This app needs so much work. 2 weeks and I'm off it already. Coins not credited automatically. Had to contact customer service both times. Which BTW cannot be done from app. Still waiting for coins from 2nd shop. Never to use again!!!

  • A number of other annoying issues with app. It is hard to upload online receipts. Why can't I upload from photos? Just gives me options of acrobat. Also, the coin statement doesn't give a breakdown of how many points you earnt on which product. Once activated boosters are recognized on receipt, they drop off the list. So again can't tell if there is a discrepancy in what was promised and what was delivered, if anything!!!

  • I downloaded, bought the chocolate, uploaded the receipt. No reward. Instead it picks up something else from the receipt instead, and gives me $0. This system is a mess. Negging because it doesn't pay.

    • Hey there, we will fix it straight away, DM me your email or send us a line [email protected]
