      this is the cheapest I have seen so far everywhere else is 69 or more. I agree though this should be a 30 dollar game. But I am a fan so i will pay 59 :D

      Bought this for $10 second hand, including DLC, 4K 30 fps on XB1X back compat. Why would anyone pay full price for 60 fps, no other changes?

      Now if they ported it to the RDR2 engine @60 fps they'd sell a billion units.

        I believe the price is too high, but the release is the only option for PS or Switch consoles, other than waiting for further sales.

    There’s no PS5 version. It’s PS4 only and plays on PS5 via backwards compatibility.

    This means does not utilise PS5 features at all (i.e. no DualSense haptics & adaptive triggers, 3D audio, SSD fast loading, trophy cards etc.)

      PS5 version is digital only. and its an upgrade you get with the PS4 version. the disk is really a ps4/ps5 game.

        No. There’s no PS5 version. There’s a patch to unlock 60FPS on PS5. It it’s still a PS4 version played via backwards compatibility.

          its better than its ever been though ps3 verison has only ever run it at 30fps 60fps is a massive upgrade for this game.

              @DingoBilly: it takes alot of time and effort ot convert games from other consoles like xbox 360 and PS3 or though i agree that on a ps3 or xbox it would be worth about 5 bucks put it in on a new system like a ps5 or a switch requires far more tweaking and developement expecially on a switch, just look at the Witcher 3 was 80 bucks on switch, the pc version was worth about 10. The cost it takes to port these games isn't cheap.

            @kendo: Unlikely, releasing a proper PS5 version in a few months will likely anger PS5 owners (unless free upgrade is offered). RockStar doesn't want to do too much for this. It feels like RockStar wants to release the Switch version, but to keep Sony and PS4/PS5 fans happy, RockStar re-compiled and patched the graphics engine a bit for PS4 and releases it.

          the big issue I hated though on the ps3 version was because it loads off the disc is was slow as hell loading

            @kungfuman: Man it's hard to go back to the ps3, especially when you wan to take a break on a game that doesn't save easily. Just having to wait for the game to load every time.

    Important to note - this is not a remaster in any way, it's the exact same game released 13 years ago.
    Might be worthwhile for Switch owners at half this price, but it's just a pure & cynical money-grab from Rockstar in terms of consoles.

    Absolutely not worth the price.

      its more like a re release of the game so you can play it finally on the ps4/ps5. they seems to be trying to bring alot of ps3 games over to the ps4 even after all this time.

      Not strictly speaking true to say it's the exact same game.

      It runs at 4K/60fps now on PS5. That is a lot better than what it ran at on PS3/360.

      No, it isn't a "remaster" but it also isn't the exact same game.

    FYI, this version of Nintendo switch should be complete on cart, no download required.

    Probably has a patch but it should be all playable offline.

    Not 100% confirmed but based off a Mexican box

      lol yeah I agree not a good price they are really counting on the fans to buy this, or people that just don't know what this game is. I looked up my PS3 progress last I played was back in 2014 lol about 49% progress so will enjoy playing this again :D

    I still have the XBox 360 version and have a Series X. I think it has a 60fps patch already. Is the PS4 / PS5 version a lot better?

      There’s no 60 fps option for Xbox owners and possibly never will be. The backwards compatibility I believe added a resolution bump, but it’s 30fps only. Given MS has stopped working on the OG and 360 backwards compatibility conversions for titles, we may not see any patch to bring 60fps to this one.

        Digital version, doesn't need to insert disc. I still have the disc version as well, but bought the digital version (< $4 for not needing to insert disc) before the PS4 version is available. Dunno why in XBox AU store, the price is more than 10X than the Turkey store.

      PS5 is the best way to play. Although both PS5 and XSX run at 4K, the image quality is better on PS5 (refer to the Digital Foundry comparisons for example.) Plus PS5 now runs it at 60fps, so it is the definitive version of the game.

      Xbox version is much cheaper though since it's just the 360 game you're buying.

        It is mainly just different upscaling and Anti-aliasing techniques used. DF already released a review when PS4 version was released.

        XBox version is only much cheaper if you buy second hand or purchase from XBox Turkey store (~$3.65 AUD). XBox AU store's price ($50 AUD) right now isn't that great.

          Yeah, it is around the AA etc as you point out. But that translates to, IMO, a materially better image - a lot more stable compared to the Xbox BC version in a side by side comparison.

      i think this will be a flow on effect because red dead redemption 1 is sorta the sequel :D because it takes place after Red Dead Redemption 2 It will make sence after you place red dead 2 and then start playing the store of red dead they reference what happened to dutch and the gang etc.

      ps3 version is just slow I dont' know its its the fact its loading of a bluray disk or its older tech but the switch and especially the ps4 version feels very fast and smooth. loading is a thing of the past.
