No idea how many coupons are available. Been slowly replacing my USB-A stuff with USB-C and came across this. Cheaper than Olight website and no shipping costs if you have prime.

Edit: This charging cable is specific to most modern Olight Torches with magnetic charging. Handy if you frequently use your torch and appreciate the convenience of magnetic charging.

    What even is this

A magnetic charger for a range of torches that many people have a love hate relationship with.

    Grabbed one. Thanks

  • Looks nice. I think I'll wait and see if I can get it for the same price or cheaper from their website directly.

    • If you've got prime, I'd highly recommend it, it's being sold on Amazon by Olight AU. I checked their website for discounts and the only way to get 40% off is to buy 3 items at the same time. The last time I saw this on sale was when they had their annual sale and it was around $15.

      • I buy a lot of stuff from Olight and sometimes need something to buy to push me over the free shipping threshold. I have no doubt that this will be cheaper at some stage. 40% off, maybe not for a while, but that's OK. I have like 9 of these chargers stuck to my filing cabinet. I'm sure not all of them are as good as this one and none of the are USB-C but I can wait.

  • Damn thought it was a USB C version of the universal cell charger :(

  • Perfect, thanks OP.

  • "appreciate the convenience of magnetic charging"; so long as you have a magnetic charger, and don't lose it. It's an ongoing criticism of olight - everyone has all flavors of usb charging cables. Each to their own of course.

Agree with you there, their batteries are removable, and they make batteries (and torches) that can be charged via USB-C, so I don't understand why they can't have both.

The magnetic charging is most suited if you have a 'home base' for your torch, I keep one in the centre console of my car and one by the door with my keys. This way when I'm leaving the house and need the torch, it's always charged and ready to go. I'm the type of person that uses wireless charging on my phone because otherwise I often forget and wake up to an uncharged phone.

    • It wouldn't be so bad if the magnetic chargers were truly universal. But they're not. Some of their models need specific chargers. And the proprietary batteries are a pain in the arse. And if you have a problem with charging, customer service immediate response is "your wall plug must be the issue".

  • OOS.

  • This is great for a portable NiMH / Li-ion battery charger. When travelling you don't want to bring your block charger, this will do the trick.
