i bought today a Nokia x30 and it says slow charging for all the normal charges
for qc3 chargers it might say slow charge, or not charging at all
for a moto 20w charger it says slow charge
for an asus 30w charger, it won't charge at all
wtf!
im planning on doing a doa return on it
i can't even update it because it needs more charge! after an hour it charged 8%
do others have this issue too?
phone did not come with a charger
have tried three different cables
and also my zenfone 8 on same combos
zenfone8 fine
it even says hypercharging on the 30w which the nokia says no charging on
Sounds faulty then.
I'd normally suggest cleaning the charging port, but you just bought the phone.
I unboxed phone. wouldnt turn on. Was weird as there's normally some charge in them.
After a while, it woke up.
So .. yeah, this plus my added zenfone 8 and volte experience .. today has been a terrible day.
are the chargers USB PD3.0? it's what the Nokia uses, 33w PD3.0.
not sure right now. too lazy to check
BUT I did plug it into my Dell laptop USBC which is probably a 100w charger - only for the phone to say "charging slowly"
ok the 30w is PD as it shows multiple output voltages inc 12v which pretty sure QC doenst do

I'll go check, regardless, it's annoying if it's not backwards compatible.
i'll check it with my 3week old lenovo laptop as that should be the latest and greatest too.
okay so it looks like after a fresh restart it charges fine with anything - except the 30w charger
but after a random period it's charging turns slowpoke
so, I've a chance to charge so its full enough to update software. maybe it's fixed then

Should take 1hr to fully charge from flat using the correct PD3.0 Charger.
@FoxJump: Your issue isn't related to PD version. Even a more basic USB charger would charge faster than what you're experiencing
update: despite the phone seemingly liking a qc charger after reboot.
over 4 hours it went from 11% to 19%
Do you have any laptop USB-C Charger? It may work better than Random phone charger.

before the reboot it would still say slow charging
i didnt leave it on the laptop charge overnight because honestly, backwards compatibility is expected - and it shouldn't take 2% per hour on even the slowest charger given their 4a battery
Take it to the store to show them and you should be able to replace it. (But I think it can software too, so, if it is possible, apply some updates on your phone and try again.)
You could try charging the phone with it turned off to eliminate is OS issues

jb said they had them in stock for a while and so probably battery damaged
bought a modo g82 instead

Yeah, Nokia represents good value a few years back. Then they start using low end chipset for mid-range phone and mid-range chipset for high-end phones. The X30 has the same chipset as G82 (SD695)…while the Nokia is a bit more premium (in look and feel), but it is also 30% more expensive than G82.
