How to Redeem Apple TV+ 3 Month Trial if Already Redeemed on Account Previously?

I'm getting a new iPhone and from what I understand Apple are still offering a 3 month free trial of Apple TV+ with new iPhones.

I have claimed an extended Apple TV+ trial against my Apple ID previously, so I just want to determine how to claim the 3 month trial again as I've read somewhere that the offer isn't eligible for people who have claimed an extended free trial previously.

I intend to only watch Apple TV shows on my LG TV's Apple TV app, so I'm assuming that once I have Apple TV+ subscription set up on a new Apple ID I should then be good to then login to the new phone with my normal Apple ID.

Summary:
- Setup new iPhone with new email/Apple ID
- Claim Apple TV+ 3-month trial
- Wipe phone/sign in with my normal Apple ID
- Login with new Apple ID to Apple TV app on LGTV

Has someone done this before and can verify this works, or does Apple have some way of preventing users from doing this?

  • sounds like the offer isn't eligible for people who have claimed an extended free trial previously

  • You are trying to game the system. They don't want you to so the answer is, you can't unless you use someone else's apple account attached to their device. Apple have this stitched up for a reason.

  • So you've already trialed it and what to trial it again ?

Lol what's with everyone in the comments so far being Lawful Good. I want some of that Chaotic Neutral energy. Someone who doesn't lose sleep VPN'ing to Turkey/India for a better deal.

  • I didn’t claim it for the last iPhone I bought and was offered it this time.

    • If you do claim it then in the future it won’t offer it to you again with a new phone purchase if you use the same Apple ID.

For those who are interested, I was able to get the trial again using the steps outlined in the original post.
