Clicking on that previous link and reading dcash's comments is hilarious.

Always fun seeing someone absolutely hell bent on being wrong lol

I feel like we should chip in to buy him a torque wrench and write on it "wheel nuts only!"

    • Seems like dcash was suffering from a severe case of, “Everyone must absolutely see things the way I do, or else I'm going to watch the world burn!”

Also known as, “just another day on the internet”

      Also, thanks, @HawaiianSL. Purchased

That's gotta be one of the funniest threads I've read in ages!

  • Does this one operate in reverse too? I couldn't see any clarification on that point in the description.

    • I have used torque wrench in reverse too yeah, does work fine (like a cheap breaker bar 😂😆 cause they more expensive than torque wrenches sometimes).

But that will throw off calibration be ever so slightly or much higher. That being said unless you using this torque wrench on very specific things like engine head bolts etc then i think you probably should be fine (for most things anyway like wheels, brake calipers etc.)-i haven't used mine (35nm+ torque wrench) on anything else than these two things.

For oil sump plug etc you generally need a smaller torque wrench(~5-25nm one)

nm here is Newton meters (not nanometres)

If you look at the photos, you can clearly see lever to change the direction of the drive.

With that being said, I would avoid using a torque wrench to loosen nuts/bolts, as it may do damage or throw off the calibration over time.
