  I can only imagine the conversation went like this:

  A: "Marketing and the executives insist we create a Diablo themed Xbox as a prize, but the design they've given us is cluttered, won't accept disks and has awful airflow."
  B: "Can we just make it an empty shell and have it as an art piece prize?"
  A: "The backlash would be insane, and we really don't need more of that right now…"
