Suggest Me Budget Tyres in VIC for My Nissan Tiida

Hello legends, I need to replace all 4 tyres for Nissan Tiida hatch.

This is my 2nd car that is used only for small chores like groceries, childcare pick up.

I do not wish to buy expensive tyres as:

  1. It does not run more than 500 kms per month.
  2. Not sure how long I will keep it for.

I googled and found these brands GOODRIDE/Diamond Back/ Kumho/Triangle AdvanteX priced around $100 - $110 range per tyre.

Has anyone used any of these brands and which one would you prefer?

Please suggest any budget tyres based on your experience for ~$100 including fitting, shipping etc

Thanks heaps!

Decent tyres are just as important for a runabout - It's transporting your kids!

As far as a budget set of decent tyres I'd look at these Khumo's, 15% off for 4 set, plus fitting

I understand your sentiment, however tyres are not something you should cheap out on; they're the only things that are holding you onto the road.

You may be able to ask for more money when selling your car to cover the cost of the tyres if you put decent ones on.

Normally I would agree but OP has a Tiida 😃

      • Yeah Tiidas are not the greatest ha. The rearview mirror in the rental one I had fell off as I was adjusting it …

        • Thank you for your inputs re. not cheap out on tyres for safety.

Re. Tiida - I have had a different experience with it. The engine is pretty good even after doing 250K and pick up is so much better than my other Nissan Xtrail.

You might be able to pick up some second hand wheels with good tyres to suit for even cheaper. Just need to check what other vehicle rims are compatible.

  • My tip: always search the slightly wider option. What's your current size? Via Tyroola (plus fitting): Kumho 185/65R15 $69.70; Winrun 195/60R15 $57.80
    Either would be fine.

For tyres you pretty much get what you pay for. Cheap tyres are rubbish: noisy, hard-riding, slippery when wet.

bridgestone ecopias are pretty good. noisy but long lasting and good for fuel economy. there's usually a buy 3 get 1 free deal every couple of months, depending how urgently you need tires could be worth waiting till start of nov, though i think they just ran the promo in sept so idk

Wait for Black Friday sale event if suitable.

From your list, i reckon goodride or kumho i heard good things.

Personally i just went a pair of Goodyears.

    • Good idea to wait for BF sales. Thanks mate!

      • if you need it sooner, B4G1F offers are always good i.e. 25%off

  • Winrun 330

  • Just don’t purchase ANY cheap Chinese tyre! Just because you want to save a few $$$$s! Throw a set of Michelins or any top brand @ the thing! Just a crazy way of thinking!

  • Thanks all for your inputs.
