Tineco Pure One S12 Platinum review

Hey gang. Anyone with access to Choice Online?
I'm in desperate need to see a review for a Hand Stick Vacuum Tineco Pure One S12 Platinum.
My wife is really keen on this vac cos her circles say it's THE one and only we should consider. The sellers at Godfreys rave about it but I'm wondering if it actually performs the way they advertise. It's over 1K so gotta make sure I Ozbargain this properly.

I read Choice Magazine Stick Vac reviews and this always makes it 12th on their list twice this year but would like their full review on it. I see a lot of reviews for it all over the place. Some that the built quality is crap, to stick to Miele or Dyson and some that swear is the best ever. So trying to go for an impartial reviewer and CHoice is the only one I can think of. I had a Dyson for forever (even replaced the battery from an ebay seller)

I don't wanna be paying 30 bucks for this only one review.

    Good points
    • Very good at cleaning hard floors.
    • Excellent at removing pet hair.
    • Excellent at cleaning up sand and pebbles from a cars floor.
    • Can be used in hand-held mode with the long wand to reach high areas.
    • The cleaning head is easy to move over the carpet.
    • Excellent reach under low furniture.
    • Very good controls.
    • Auto mode designed to monitor dirt levels and adjust suction accordingly.
    • Digital screen tells you when filters need to be cleaned, battery level and blockages.
    • Swappable battery (need to buy additional battery separately).

    Bad points
    • Only OK at cleaning corners and around edges.
    • Only OK at quick carpet cleaning.
    • The bin is easy to empty into a garbage bag, but the filter is messy to clean.
    • Battery running time under 10 minutes when on max setting.
    • App is not very useful, and requires access to your phone's location, camera and storage.

    Godfrey's home brand = badge engineered Alibaba crap. For that price get something decent, or if you want a Chinese thing, get a viami or whatever it is, it will be a third of the price and probably better made.

      AH thanks. Had no idea t was a Godfrey's home brand kindda deal. Makes sense. I'll investigate others instead

        FWIW, they’re not Godfrey’s home brand. Tineco is an American company, Godfrey’s is the Aus distributor.

          Their wet dry vacuum mops are supposed to be the best in class. I didn't end up plunging on one and went with a cheaper karcher. Kind of regret that now.
