    "Minimum Payment Term" - Yearly - $40.5/yr - for 100MB storage…, NO thanks ! LOL

  • For those who take advantage of this offer, I will double the storage space to 200MB!

  • For $5 a month I can go with another Australian provider and get 10GB storage and 250GB bandwith and pay month to month without any contract

Sorry but this is not a deal in my eyes

Hi rldowling03, my reply is below.
I don't think you can find a host who can beat our offer now ;)
If you remove the $3/month for the IP, that is like paying $0.40/month for the hosting!

      • +1

Yes but your disk space and bandwith are WAY below competitors. I'd rather pay $8 for 100 times the storage space and 50 times the bandwith. It's a no brainer to be honest. The excess that people will pay with you for needing more bandwith will add up to be alot more over time

        • If you require more disk space and bandwidth, you can purchased AU02 or AU03. This offer is for all our Australian Hosting Plans.
The difference between us and our competitors are that we allow you to host UNLIMITED domains within your limit, and we do not oversell.
Anyone who purchase hosting from us and not satisfy with our network or server performance, we offer a 30 day no question asked guarantee.
You have to be realistic here. If I offer you 10GB storage, 250GB and UNLIMITED domains, you will be sure to get a server that will go down daily.

        • But again if I went to different hosts I could still get 20 times more disk space and 15 times more bandwith for those same prices. Like I said I dont think this is a deal, but im sure someone will find it a deal. But I would prefer to go with a more established company. Also what is your ABN and do you have SLA's?

        • We have been in business since 1996 and no SLA since this is budget hosting branch. Our parent company's hosting plan cost a lot more.

        • And an ABN? You are selling Australian hosting so you surely must be based in Australia and have an ABN yes?

Also been around since 1996, under the same domain name the whole time?

        • 26 072 793 858

        • Faswayhost Since 2002, parent company since 1996. We actually was an ISP under a different name before 1996.

  • How about I add a FREE IP in this deal?
    That is usually $3/month!
Can anyone find hosting for $3.40/month with a Dedicated IP? If you do, please post it here.
This will make this hosting offer E-commerce ready!
Prices will stay the same and IP will be FREE as long as you keep your hosting.

  • Hey guys, i help run this site

    http://www.talkchelsea.net/

and was wondering if anyone knew some good but not too expensive decicated servers?

    • You will be able to break a deal at WHT Forums…

      http://www.webhostingtalk.com/ OR http://www.webhostingtalk.com.au/

      OR, Browse through deals here:

      http://www.webhostingtalk.com/forumdisplay.php?s=f036871dd0a…

    • Depends what you need. If you need offshore or Australian. Its going to be expensive regardless. Maybe a VPS would suit your needs rather than an actual dedicated server

    • @steve13 — looks like your audience is mostly in Europe? Take @Elijiah's advice — check the WebHostingTalk's forums. Especially look out for cheap VPS from some Germany and France data centres like Hetzner or OVH — they are the big budget data centres in Europe, sells cheap dedicated servers and VPS.

With your site, a VPS would be sufficient, and less things to worry about then a dedicated server.

  • Hey steve13, come to our site and have a live chat with us, we may be able to help you.

  • the plans are a joke? 100MB disk space, 5GB data transfer? are the servers pdp-11s?

    $20/year = 5gb disk, 100gb data http://zuver.com.au/web-hosting

    • Hi mattgal,

I have upped my offer to 200MB space, 5GB data, and a FREE Dedicated IP.
Server located at Equinix Sydney, Server is 2 x XEON 5620 8 Core with 16GB RAM.
How many domains does Vuzer allow you to host? 1!
The difference between us and Vuzer is that they limit you to 1 domain and don't expect you to all allocated resources. We do not oversell and expect you to use up ALL your allocated resources.
If your sites are small, you can host up to 10 to 20 with our hosting packages, or even more!
How much does Vuzer charge for Dedicated IPs? $3/month? $4/month? You get 1 FREE with this offer.

The deal posted yesterday beats your deal easily…http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/80562.
    5GB storage, 100GB transfer.

200MB in this day is not enough particularly for an eCommerce store that may have many products. 5Gb would be easily chewed up with a reasonable amount of traffic.

    • Hi Aussie89,

This offer is not for everyone.
For those who do not require a lot of bandwidth and storage, I think this will be an ideal plan.
We are testing the budget hosting market as we specialise business grade hosting.

  • No one (1% of people might have a legitimate reason) should need a dedicated IP address when they are using hosting at the very budget end of the market.

    • Hi sparky13,

A lot of people want to start their own online store but with limited budget.
This deal will be great for them as IPs these days are not cheap any more. ;)

      • And in very limited supply, which is why they should only be allocated when absolutely necessary.

        • IPv6 will be the default soon.

        • Once it's supported. Internode is the only ISP currently supporting it in Aus (last I saw). cPanel still doesn't support it and is a ways off etc etc.

  • You guys really need to hire a PR guy.

  • why those guys put Australia hosting location as a selling point?

There is make no difference wherever the hosting company location, nowadays almost all good hosting company have utilized the cloud technology and CDN distributed system (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Content_delivery_network)

Therefore, the key question I would ask is - has that hosting company implemented some latest technology yet?

    • Most CDN don't handle dynamic content. Implementing "CDN" is also beyond what typical hosting company can offer, as it involves the software stack of your site.

Unless you go through the route of CloudFlare, which has its own problem…

      • CloudFlare are great now that they have a datacentre in Sydney.

        • They are great while they work. I used to run one site behind it in 2010-2011, and constantly suffering 50x errors (while my visitors have no problem connecting directly to my site).

        • my 5 sties are working flawless with CloudFlare since late last year.

Also I'm using MaxCDN which I got an offer to pay $1 for first 1,000 GB (1 TB)bandwidth. it's working great so far.
