  • What are those 6 bars with 0-100% even representing?

    • +2

Maybe distance - From the manual:

You can specify target values for the items below.

      • Daily step count
      • Monthly running distance
      • Monthly running time
    • +1

Not sure but you can change the screen. Here is a youtube review.

    • Yeah, was going to guess it's a percentage towards your goals. For some reason I'd have said step percentage to daily goal. But aboves answer makes more sense as on the same screen at the top, it's showing (I'm assuming) an overall distance? For the week or month I'm not sure though how the 6 bars would align if it were monthly, even though it says 'monthly' at the top.

    • That's the monthly distance screen - the bars show percentage of the monthly distance goal for the last 6 months. You can cycle the screens - main time, daily steps (with 7 bars for the week), monthly distance, world time dual clock

      • Pretty small bars if one is for a month.
Fitbit much better, cool if they did a Collab one day.

I’ve had my eyes on dw5600bb-1E
which’s is on sale now. All black with negative display but haven’t pulled the trigger on since I'm looking at DWH5600mb-1D
too as a sophisticated hybrid watch. The MIP LCD is fascinating though!

    • SKMEI 1628.

      You're welcome. 😅

Won't have the same durability as a G-Shock though.

          You'd be pleasantly surprised.. 😅

@WasBargain: If you're aiming for asthetics than I suppose it's close enough (maybe if you squint). But if I'm going to wear a Casio square it might as well have the rugged perfomance of a G-Shock.

@Phlume: Well yeah, I might aswell spend almost 15x the price for "rugged performance".. 😅

      Casio Green-Shock

  • Is this the simplest step tracking we’re gonna get? Looks tempting. Been looking to dumb down and simplify.

    • Would be pretty basic, wouldn't have the health and fitness tracking like a Fitbit (got the charge 5 and wear real watches as well on left hand).

    Thanks OP. Bought one

ha, I was thinking to ask how long will the battery last…. checked the youtube it says 10 mths

Think I prefer the classic world time (AE-1200) @WatchNerd - should have kept mine when they were $30.

  • I picked up the GBD200 at the recent Amazon sale and ended up returning it. The MIP screen is amazing and it was comfortable to wear, but it didn’t fill me with the same joy when wearing as a 5600 or 6900. There was something about it that didn’t feel classic or ironic, which is what I like about the old-style G-shocks.

    • Agree whilst I like the new display I think they are a bit Pointless - not exactly a smart watch, less iconic.

I try and buy positive displays otherwise as the negatives are pretty average to read in average lighting.

You should look at the GBD100 model. I love it.

I really like the GBX100. To me, it has much more of a square vibe to it. I briefly owned the GBD200 but sent it back as it didn't have the same feel.

I'm looking forward to a more classic styled solar square with the MIP display. I'm kind of tempted by the h5600 but it has too many features I don't need.

  • How many watches do you have watch nerd?

    • +1

Based on my calculations, he has 47.

  • If only the GWB5600 was a positive display - I don't have the guts to try modding the display…yet. Great prices as per usual, WatchNerd!!

Hanging for a deal on the DW-H5600.

    • +1

Ditto - also after a deal on this one.

Though, hopefully they release a model without the heart rate monitor.
