    Almost Perfect Desky Range

So they are not perfect then…….

    • Yes. It's their factory seconds that are part of this promotion/deal

    • I think that's why they're called "almost perfect"

  • I've one of their 1.8m sit/stand desk for 2 years and it's been solid. No issues with the motor and the power management add-on is great. Only one cable from the desk to the power outlet.

    • I have 3 monitors, tube amp, 2 laptops, PS5, dock, tonnes of camera stuff, and even let my wife sit on the desky, the damn thing still lifts :D Forgot to mention a gimbal lol 😂

    • I've resisted the accessories because they can get pricy, but the desk itself has been one of my favourite purchases. Works perfectly, looks great.

  • I am actually in the process of shopping for a standing desk, how do these compare to IKEA desks?

    • +2

I'm in the same situation. From my research Desky is better in almost every category:
      * Wood: Desky's melamine is particleboard like Ikea's desks. All of Desky's other wood options are superior.
      * Cable management: Desky has superior cable management with customisable accessories, though they cost extra.
      * Height range: Desky beats Ikea with both a lower minimum height, and a higher maximum height.
      * Weight capacity: Most Ikea desks I've looked at don't list a weight capacity. Their most expensive desk (the Uppspel) has a weight capacity of only 70 kg which is piss-poor. Desky supports 140 kg.
      * Motor: Desky's advertises 40db volume and 36mm/s speed, which are both great values. I haven't seen any Ikea desk specify their motor speed or volume, which is concerning.
      * Stability: It depends on the model. Ikea's Idasen desk is likely to be more stable that Desky's because of it's forked legs. The other Ikea desks have similar legs to Desky and might offer similar stability. However, when you consider that Desky's desks support double the weight of Ikea's, I suspect they also have greater stability.
