Origin Energy Bill Not Showing Current Read or Previous Read

Origin Energy Bill Not Showing Current Read or Previous Read Since meter changed to smart reader.
Is this normal as I have no way of telling what I am being charged for each bill.
Is this allowed?
Not sure how to put a image in but this is a link showing the bill layout below

Maybe their printer ran out of ink.

Origin are useless. Every month our bill has been "delayed" since joining them.

Does it say how much is used? Also is it a metre read or estimated bill?

  • Contact them , they will have the details .
Incase they dont just move to another retailer.

The format of my Optus electricity bill changed this time. But I've had a smart meter for 14 years and, now that I look, I see my previous format bills didn't show anything under previous and current readings as far back as I can check them.

I looked at my meter and it does have cumulative readings for power imported and exported, but it also has numbers for just this billing period.

  • I just updated the original post with a link showing a image of how the bill is laid out….this cant be legal

What did Origin say when you asked them?

    • +1

Origin stated "we have put all the information available to us on the bill and If I want any thing more I have to chase it up with the meter provider and they will not be able to assist any further."

The meter provider state origin has the information and I have to take it up with origin.

      • Did you ask them if it was legal?

        • +1

Why? Would you trust the response from them? As if they're going to actually say no, even if it was. Better off finding out yourself. Especially since already being unhelpful.

          • @cookie2: Well, we would assume that you intend to lodge a complaint with EWOV. It's illegal, right? Retailer's response is a requirement and part of that process.

Or did you google "estimate read electricity bill" after posting this and discover the legislation covering this situation and its legality?
