Have had game pass for last 3 years luckily I did not get charged on the 27th oct when it was due.
It’s asking for me to pay but obviously don’t want to pay full price any deals on getting Xbox game pas again and a very reduced cost.
I can’t remember what I did 3 years ago but I’m sure I exchanged it from one type to another and ended up with 3 years worth.
Should I keep my account as is or cancel my subscription but my subscription has ended so why does it offer to cancel.
So does cdkeys have such 3 yr deal aint my ultimate expired as it said it tried to take payment yesterday.

You can buy 12 months max but just buy 12months 3x. Then you have to punch in 4 sets of keys for each year, it takes ages but saves decent money. Don't update card until after you upgrade to ultimate, they will then give you 2 free weeks for turning on auto payment. Just cancel it towards the end of the time you have and do this process all over again.
There are a couple YouTube tutorials if you get confused.

It might still work actually, I've been getting app notifications from Old Ubil about Gamepass in the last few days. Don't know what it's about because I haven't opened it since they claimed to stop supporting purchases from foreigners or whatever.

Three years iirc, including any free months you are offered during the process.
I just did it, took up the offer a free month of core by turning on reoccurring which prevented me to enter the last 3 month of core as it will exceed the 36 months of core.
After the 33 months of core and using the 14 day $1 to convert it to ultimate I ended up at 04/10/2025
Adding the final 3 months of core will convert it to 25/11/2025 which is not as much value I guess
Basically $226 for just over 2 years of ultimate
Thats the best way still in the long run stack the xbox core gamepass to 3 years 3 to 2 ratio but on the other hand 3 month of ultimate cost 60 to 75 bucks when a years of core conversion can get you eight months with that price
If you sign up to Microsoft rewards and do the daily/weekly/monthly quests you can earn more than enough points to claim GPU for free on a recurring basis.
Using this method I haven't paid anything for GPU since my paid subscription ran out.

From what I can tell, they don't exist any more…. If you check out JB or other retailers, they stock 12 months of core, but no GPU.
Can someone please tell me I'm crazy or do they no longer sell GPU 12 months anywhere?

@lnlaymansterms wow that's expensive, I think i'll just let my 3yr GPU expire next week, only really played Horizon 5 on it for a few weeks and nothing else, mostly just sitting there idle anyway.

Yeah my GPU expired 2 weeks ago. Patiently waiting for a Black Friday deal. GPC is $80 @ JB, might just pick that up. I barely used GP so don't really need Ultimate.

I have upgraded or bought myself a Xmas gift a great deal on the Xbox x my son has aready a switch and he and daughter can use my Xbox one after Xmas not part of there Xmas, just thought they can use it as I get nothing for it anyway and I’m holding out for a deal with the with the quest 3 for daughters Xmas.
Son is getting loads of games for his switch and controllers and other stuff.
But my son keeps bugging me for game pass as he used it often as had a lot of kid based games where my Xbox games was more adult rated.
I have never heard of gold core I’m just curious if I when I open my Xmas gift the Xbox x at Xmas and set it up and later when I pass on my Xbox one to my son can I have my Xbox one set up and Xbox x together using same games pass or whatever I end up getting?
I doubt if we can use at same time right?
What did you mean about some research and buy some stock from Instant Gaming are they in Australia and what’s the go on this as I want a cheap way to get game pass or whatever.

I just want to allow sim to be able to use game pass on Xbox one when we wants and i on Xbox x when I want.
I obviously for now don’t want him to be using the Xbox x that’s another reason he can use the Xbox one which will be kept in another room.
We even still have Xbox 360 I never bothered to try but most of these work on Xbox one right? As maybe I see no need to keep 360 as well.
I think 'Core' is the new Gold.
Like, Gold is what it was called up until a few months ago. You can still use some old 'Gold' cards that are around and they act the same way as the new 'Core'.
You can convert Core to Ultimate but apparently it's at a lower rate than what it was years ago. I'm still trying to figure out if I should wait until mine expires.

Not as good. Still.. I've played a lot of Day 1 AAA's that have come to Gamepass so I can't really complain. I do think it's worth it, just nowhere near as good as it once was.
@Stoibs: So how much gold core would you need to buy to get 1 yr or 2yr or 3yr and even then would you not need to buy a 1 month ultimate pass and to exchange core over??

Bought 10x3 months 'Core' from Instant Gaming back during Black Friday. (30 Months)
Redeemed all of them and then used the current $1 14 day 'trial' offer to upgrade to Ultimate, converting my 30 months of core to 20 months, 17 days approximately.
Not as good as the deal was a few years back, but the whole thing only cost me about $150 so it's still a hell of a lot cheaper then getting Ultimate directly and I can't complain.

Not sure how long the deal will remain active, but yeah doing that will convert any Gold or Core you have at a reduced rate.
I used the $1 deal in the past before and could still do this so it must not be limited to first time customers.

So are you saying as I maybe wrong here as my current ultimate pass expired few weeks ago now, are you still able to convert game pass to ultimate like you did last year? As you did not lose anything you got same time for game pass as you did for ultimate. Does this still do that? I can’t even remember if there was a process.
So the way I’m seeing it if you’re able to exchange for ultimate not weeks/months lost then i could stock up on these core deals and transfer them into ultimate correct?
