      • I see thanks

    • But then you can just use built in and if it dies then spring for Smart grinder pro. Just because grinder dies doesn't mean that you can't pull a coffee from the machine…

      • Oh i thought it was related by cmd comment

Thank for alerting me that option

  • Make sure you service! Just because it's a Breville does not mean it does not need servicing - every espresso machine does. That's the problem when people say these are unreliable, they just don't service them. To be fair, I don't think it's mentioned anywhere. O-ring packs are less than $10, and you only need a screw driver. Other parts such as pumps, solenoids etc are also fairly cheap.

    • I wonder if you could get the O rings replaced by Breville within warranty purely as a preventative thing before a problem occurs? Alternatively are there any symptoms you would notice if the O rings are leaking, without opening it up?

      • +1

Yep in my case it lost frother pressure, started hissing more and leaking more etc. Oh then it totally stopped working haha, thankfully with a month of warranty left. The service centre were great and assume you can just take them in as required. I definitely recommend doing so. Mine was broken in under 2 years with modest use (say a dozen coffees a week)

    • Do you have guide how to replace o ring?

Is servicing the one where clean and scale?

  • deal gone now? the page has just changed

    • Thanks mate!

Just wondering is ~$900 the usual sale price?

And does the sale occur a couple time a year?

      • Not sure. TGG Commercial is $964.00

        • Thanks

Anyone know if it actually takes 10 min for the dual boiler coffee machine to warm up

      • I got mine in August last year from good guys for around 810. But that was probably the best price of last year's offers.

        • I see thanks

  • Fantastic features, and also punches way above its weight for thermal stability.

Imagine how many more of these they’d sell if it didn’t look like such a dog aesthetically and take up quite so much room.

Releasing a matt white version would sell well as would look a little more classy, despite still using the same appliance-level materials underneath.

Appreciate they don’t want to eat into sales of their Lelit range though.

  • Would this be an upgrade coming from a Sunbeam EM6910, or are they more or less in the same ballpark? (Disregarding any price difference)

What I would really like is a La Marzocco machine, but being realistic about the price puts a dampener on that idea.

  • I need to share something very important.

I received it 2 days ago from the courier. And it's started leaking from the bottom right corner under the tray. i am not sure why and I have requested a refund now.

It's brand new and I really don't know why it leaks.

    • Quality control failure on Breville's side - ouch. But this is an exception rather than a rule.
You are right - it should not be doing it on day one.

      It was a good price.
I would request a replacement from the seller.
