Timeline from Applying to NCAT to Sheriff Eviction

(NSW syd metro) I'm after some data points please. Tenants given 30 days termination notice at end of fixed period lease but not vacating.

Termination date is 30 October.

If everything process wise is followed, is it realistic to expect sheriffs on 31 Jan or 29 Feb?

How long does the process take from start to finish for each of the steps below:

  1. after termination date and no vacating. Get your REA to apply to NCAT for a hearing
  2. wait few weeks for hearing
  3. at hearing, yourself and or REA can make case
  4. NCAT considers order/notice to tenants
  5. tenants have another 2 weeks
  6. if still not gone, apply for Possession order. Order will go to a sheriff
  7. Sheriff will remove tenants.

What did your REA say when you asked them to send out the termination notice would happen?
Now that the tenant has not vacated what update(s) die the REA give you?
For the questions asked what did the REA say about them?

    1. after termination date and no vacating.

Get bikies and skip steps 2 to 7.

Throw boiling water over the tenants.

  • Why wait so long? Demand the sherif do it on December 25th. He should be free then
