Mid Range with Two Nano Sim Slots and eSIM

I'm looking for a new android phone that has two nano Sim slots plus esim support.

Normally I buy a mid range phone ~$600 RRP. Is it feasible to expect two Sim slots plus esim at this price point or do I need to look at more expensive models?

Didn't know there was any phone's that have dual physical sim and esim support, if there are, it'll probably still be dual standby.

    • Yeah, the Samsung 23 seems to have a model that has two nano sim slots plus an eSim:

It's been about 4yrs since I've looked at mobile phone tech properly but I'm starting to think having two nano sim and an eSim might be too high an expectation for the price point I'm looking at.

      • Nice, I'm getting the S24 U next feb but 1 nano and Esim suits me.
That s23 is dual standby so only 2 in use at a time, and I think your right about dual nano and esim at your price point, bit you can def find dual nano or single nano and esim at that price point.

Also, with Esim you can load as many as you want into the phone and software switch between them as needed, I have 1 physical sim and 4 Esims in my phone right now.

      • I think that might be an error. I work at a sim card shop, what I have seen, phones either have dual physical sims or 1 x physical and esim support.

        • I ended up getting an S23U with one physical sim and an eSim… it was gonna be too big a sacrifice on phone performance any other way.

My Oppo Find X3 Pro has dual physical nano sims and esim support. Like most/all phones I think you can only have two sims active at once, be they physical or e.

I got it for $800 last year so hopefully should be something similar out there and not too far over budget..

    • Cheers for the heads up. I use a Oppo Reno2 Z which has been solid.

i suggest to look at gsm arena, and filter/search for dual sim phone, and then research how much are the phone you are interested on.

related question, i may be using zfold5 with 1 nano and 1 esim.
my plan is to put my main number on esim, and get the cheapest plan available
then on the nano i will swap sim each month depending who is doing the promo (for example the boost with cashback, belong etc)

problem is i cant find cheap esim plan, i found aldi mobile is good with the PAYG option for 365 days, but its not esim.
    anyone can help?

    • I tried doing a search but the filter for sims unfortunately picks either nano sims or eSims rather than nano sim AND eSim.

Either way, I think I'm restricting my options too much by requiring dual nano AND eSim and would need to compromise on other features. Another requirement of mine is 3.5mm jack which is going to heavily restrict my options already.

I should probably look at getting an external eSim and just get a dual nano sim phone. This way, I can use two normal nano sims or replace one of them with the physical eSim so I can use eSims when traveling.
