Since when was a basketball $100 and cheap?!?! I thought they were like $20? Is this a magic basketball?

  • You have to have $100 balls to be cool these days.

      You'd need to have a pair! 🤣

      A professional ball is $250-$300.
As with any sport there is a range depending on your needs and budget.

  • Not a good basketball at this price point.

  • Bought the 4500 (https://molten.com.au/products/bg4500-series-basketball) for this price in June 2022 FYI.

It was $92 on the Amazon not long ago.

  • Any upcoming deals for the B7G5000?

    • Don't do it, BG4500 much better ball for the non-FIBA players.

For sure not worth spending 100 bucks on these.

Got these a few months back and it was a bargain.

Tbh I've played with both series, pretty much the same.

  • My daughter plays basketball (Victoria) and Molton became the sponsors of the league. But what they do as sponsor is say that no other brands of ball are allowed to be used during or even practicing before/after games - they all have to be Molton balls. We have a perfectly good ball from another brand before this rule came into force, and there's no way we are going to spend $100 (or more) replacing it with a Molton ball just because the sponsor says so. I kind of have a sour taste in my mouth with Molton as a result of that rule.

Hi! Molten had no part in that decision by EDJBA, as soon as we found out about it we told them that we didn't support it

      • Interesting… thanks for letting me know.
