Titan Tech Gone Bust? Customer Says He's Been Scammed

Had a man enter my computer store today asking if I knew these 2 guys that supposedly ran Titan Tech whilst showing me pictures of them (felt a little like a movie scene).

Explained how he bought a machine off them a couple years back, still under warranty, and had it returned to them just recently and they've now got his computer and completely ghosted him. Seems like the website is gone.

Does anyone have any knowledge as to what happened to them?

They appear to have shut down operations, maybe half a year ago, based on a comment on a forum post. The phone number is disconnected and emails don't go through.

    FuseTech is also gone.

    • Interesting. They had a few deals together too.

  • he bought a machine off them a couple years back, still under warranty

Isn't the warranty on a computer generally only 12 months? Wouldn't be surprised if the customer went in demanding something and pissed them off and they just kept it! haha

Nah some of these new builders are offering up to 3 iirc

Most parts have minimum 3 years warranty these days.

Motherboard and cpu is 3 years
      ram limited lifetime
      psu 7-10 years
      nvme 5 years
gpu is usually 3 years too some are 2

      • I'm guessing the store warranty is for the whole system. Like you can have the whole system returned, troubleshooted and repaired within that period.
Individual components have longer warranty periods but will require the end user to troubleshoot and identifying, remove from system and return the faulty component

    • Hi Bobbified, that's not at all what happened - we were not demanding and didn't do anything to piss him off. He offered to fix it and we have been extremely patient. Please see my comment below regarding what happened. We just would really like our property back. We've done absolutely nothing wrong, and it is rightfully ours. My son is so upset that his computer and everything he has stored on it is gone.

  • most offer extended warranty of you pay a few $… this one looks like you need KY not extended warranty

  • Thanks, JustinFR. That was actually my husband who came in to chat with you. We're trying every avenue we can to get the computer back. We bought it from Isaac Kenney of Titan Tech in February 2022. In September, it wouldn't turn on, so I called him and he said no problem, it was still under warranty and he would fix it, and that it should take 20 minutes to 2 hours. After we dropped it off to him outside his residence as he was "working from home", the problems began, with him delaying, not answering his phone, not responding to messages, etc. It's my son's computer, and he just really wants it back. I don't even care if it's fixed, to be honest. We just want it back.

    • If you know where he lives, can't you just rock up there?

      • He gave us an address and said, "give me a buzz when you get here and I'll run down". The apartment building has 100s of apartments in it. We don't know what unit number he lives in, or if he even lives in that apartment building. So it's a bit like finding a needle in a haystack.
