So now that I've bought them, what can go wrong with the refurb lottery on these? Dud battery?
Not sure if entirely relevant, but my XM3 only had a couple of handfuls of uses, and its showing signs of randomly disconnecting
Oh. Mine do that too. Which is one of the reasons I'm upgrading haha. They've been doing it since new and it's just kinda annoying.
Let me know how that goes, but doing a quick research of "xm4 disconnecting" isn't very promising.

Pretty sure sweat killed one of my XM3s whereas XM4s are waterproof/resistant.
The XM3s are meant to be interchangeable but you can't/couldn't officially buy a single one from Sony whereas the XM4 is all tied together. (I got the refurb XM4s as the only cheaper option was buying a single XM3 off randoms on eBay and wasn't that much cheaper)
I find the XM4 much more comfortable and much less likely to fall out.

Anyone noticing under direct sun these click the touch button by itself and sometime turns itself off? Happened to me while wearing them and driving.

Thanks OP. Decided to pull the trigger. I have the XM4 over ear headphones but these will be much better for the gym.
